Promotional items on the exchange

Hey everyone
I am trying to hunt down a Krenim Annorax Science Dreadnought that was a drop from the delta alliance duty officer pack, It is the only T6 science ship I really like the look of but I can't find it on the exchange to save my life.
I do find lists for the "Promotion ! Delta Alliance Duty Officer Pack" along side the normal Delta Alliance Duty Officer Pack.
looking at the info it says that using it could drop the ship. However a Arc post about the event stats the following :

NOTE: Newly purchased Delta Alliance Duty Officer packs will only offer the chance to win the Krenim Annorax Science Dreadnought during this promotional event. Once this event ends, the packs will revert back to their previous state and no longer offer the Annorax.

So this is where I get confused because from my understanding of this post if you didn't open the packs during the event it wont drop it anymore. Yet in game it still says it will and of course there are two types of Delta Alliance Duty Officer Pack one promotion one normal, so which is it ?

if it isn't on the exchange then the price for it is higher than the current exchange limit of 750 million EC and people are only selling it on dedicated trade channels. But I guess that amount of EC is out of your reach anyway.
If you are a console user it might not be implemented yet.

yeah you should search for the name. type jem'hadar should pull up the all the ships along with other stuff. in this case krenim pulled up doff packs and warships, no annorax

I am playing on PC for months currently with the Wells science ship T5-U so I had some EC on me XD.
A few moths ago there was I think 3-4 Annorax dreadnoughts on the exchange for at least 700M EC but as of now there all gone.

hopefully there should be a link to a screenshot of what I see in the Exchange, two different Delta Alliance packs one normal one promotional (right click shows Annorax can drop).
So if these promotional versions are still able to drop the Annorax I can easily make 200M EC and buy god knows how many promo packs in hope it will drop. I can always sell the other stuff I don't want but may keep the Attack pattern Delta prime as it sells for over 300M right now.

I was thinking about that but was unsure if they would ever bring the promo back at all, as for the infinity box I only ever got two T5 ships out of that but considering how many times I see it show someone got a T6 prize it seams not impossible to win.
I would have had over 300M already but due to a keyboard TRIBBLE up I sold a Kelvin T6 shop for 3million instead of 300M >< I was....not happy...

I think it's highly likely we'll see an infinity version of promo boxes, and then the chance is good the price of prior ships could drop like a rock. I wouldn't gamble but try to be patient and hope such a box comes sooner than later.

To be honest I really don't understand the prices some people are asking for stuff, in chat I keep seeing people trying to sell the T6 Connie for 500 or more keys which is over 2 billion EC no bother to me as I got lucky with the R&D pack on the 5th go.

People in STO seam to be more greedy than players on EVE online :O

wow sorry for your loss . ask the buyer sometimes there are decent beings out there. happened to me too on a smaller scale...

i won more ships from infinity boxes than any other box before. but i don't open them for the ships.

2 billion is a little high, but the promo packs are selling for close to 25 million each and the odds of getting the ship are 1 in 100. So the expected cost is actually 2.5 billion EC if you ignore the value of the R&D mats.

Who ever bought it from me must have been watching because as soon as I posted it and tried to take it down it was already gone :(
Since it was on the exchange for which I have no idea how to tell who bought it from me, I open boxes for the Lobi if I happen to get a ship I like out of it yay me if not sell the rest. Sometimes I wonder if I should sell the keys I buy or take chances with boxes since I have a million of the things instead of good drops during missions -.-

A little high is right but you are correct in the price of 25 million, people always dismiss R&D but craft the right things and you can make a lot of EC. This is why I can't decide on the Promotion ! Delta Alliance Duty Officer Pack, while the chance of the ship dropping is very low everything else does sell at a decent price.
with a chance of also getting 4x Fleet ship modules and Starship Trait: Attack Pattern Delta Prime which on its own is over 300M on the exchange It pays for itself [If your lucky with what comes out of course]
Besides that everyone buys duty officers, I can't get rid of them fast enough XD

This right here. I've bought many a mispriced items. Surprisingly I've only been messaged from sellers on two occasions. I've probably bought over 100 accidentally low priced items.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

Wait key prices are low ? What were they before then because even before the 20 key pack I never saw keys being sold for more than 5,500,000 Million.
On the subject of the 20 key pack what is worth using the ultimate upgrade on ? I currently have four of them but have no idea what to use them on, I am not in a fleet so I have no fleet consoles or weapons only the Temporal set from the Lobi store and the KCB from the Borg reputation.

Well, that's because in STO people show their inner Ferengi. One can look at the Dilex(Dilithium Exchange) and see that.

IMO, Ulitmates are best used on Reputation Warp Cores, due to their inherently "fixed" mods (like all rep gear).
If you get a lot of use from your KCB, then that would also be a good use for an ultimate (also gets fixed mods, and is as expensive as a rep warp core to upgrade).

Things you never want to use the Ultimates on are on any console whatsoever.
Consoles generally are A LOT cheaper to bring to MK XIV in comparison to a rep warp core for example, and therefore, a lot cheaper to bring to Epic. Even if you have to get it there with brute force (feeding it a stack of superiors for example).

I would also never use an ultimate on any crafted weapon that has 3 modifiers like a "MK II Antiproton Beam Array [CrtD]x3" for example.
What if you use the Ultimate on it, and it gives you a weapon with [CrtD]x3 [Acc]...
When what you really wanted was [CrtD]x4..
That would be a very disappointing mis-use of an Ultimate.

    So basically;
    1. Reputation Warp Cores - "Fixed Mods"
    2. Reputation Weapons like KCB - "Fixed Mods" (but not "REP STORE" weapons like Romulan Plasma for example)
    3. Reputation Space and Ground sets "Fixed Mods".

I think those are the only items worth using Ultimates on, anything else is a waste imo.

The promo packs stay promo packs forever and will have a chance to drop the ship. "Newly purchased" means the packs must be bought from the C-store during the promo event. At current the only things I have ever used the ultimate upgrade on is my Chroniton Dual Beam Array from the Lobi store that ended up with [Ac\Dm] CrtD x2 and the Ancient omnidirectional beam array. Since all my science abilities need me to fact towards my target having all omni arrays seams like the best idea.

At best I could muster together maybe 600M EC but still that much for just one ship is a bit to rich for my blood. The packs I have seen do indeed say promotion on them and the information when right clicking still says opening said pack can drop the Annorax.
Considering I could get 20 packs for under 300M and the fact you could also get some high selling items like the attack pattern delta prime trait it could be worth it, but this all depends on your luck and what you actually get.

Eve's bad rap comes from it's completely open-world PvP. Sure, there's NPC space police but they tend to only show up after you're exploded and the gankers have looted your wreckage, thereby making anything they stole fair game after they themselves are wrecked.

I don't know why EVE gets such a bad rep. The players there are down right friendly compared to certain segments of STO.

You should see the Diablo 3 forums...omg they're absolutely vile (I guess maybe because D2 was such a huge success, and D3 was a complete failure by comparison, it was always a cesspool of hate from the very beginning).

STO forums are mild mannered and downright friendly in comparison.
No surprise though, usually Trek fans are for the most part quite intelligent. And perhaps a little older, wiser and more mature.
