You can only do hourly rep so many times per day before it no longer works for that day. :(

The devs did it this way because they got mad the people were completing the Dyson rep just days after it got released. If it doesn't have a timegate, the devs will find a way to add it in.

This change was made a year or so back when the Delta Rep was added, or somethingorother... It's intentional...

Hmm, makes sense. If you aren't doing a ton of skill training or swapping of bridge officers you're bound to amass tones of expertise, and there's no lack of ways to earn credits and marks. It'd be too easy to trivialize the reputation grind if you could repeat the hourly every hour on the hour for full rewards.

Personally, I never really bothered with the 1 hour projects until after I have completed Tier 5 so the XP is worthless to me. I run the projects simply to get the Dil and a chance to get a good random weapon (though an Elite Mark is a decent consolation).

To me it is more efficient than running the project to turn in 50 marks for 500 Dil. By spending 15 marks, 7,500 EC and 7,500 XP (I believe that is the amount), I can get 340 Dil plus the rep box. If the rep box rewards as space weapon / ground weapon that I don't like, then I can sell it for 15k / 5k EC. I don't do this very often though.
