Can I buy a fleet T6 ship from another fleet starbase?

I purchased some C-store ships and want to buy the fleet version for one of my toons. Every time I get invited to another fleet starbase, I can't buy the T6 version because my shipyard isn't high enough. I am level 60 so that should not be an issue. Can you buy fleet ships at another shipyard without joining their fleet?

no, this is basically the only thing from the fleet stores which needs you to be a member of said fleet. probabaly because ships are not items in STO but rather "player skins"

Thanks. It is taking forever for my fleet to upgrade the shipyard!

If your fleet is (example) level 1 and you get invited to visit a level 5 fleet you can buy a fleet ship.....IF....the following conditions apply:

***Your fleet has permitted fleet ship purchaes at your fleet rank level
***Your fleet has enough fleet ship provisions available.

This is because you are using YOUR fleet's resources for this transaction, despite visiting another fleet. "Other fleet" provided the conduit but your fleet is sponsoring the purchase.

If you are not high enough fleet rank (personal level 60 rank has nothing to do with it), find out from fleet leadership what you need to do to get promoted.
If your fleet doesn't have enough fleet ship provisions, ask leadership to queue up the proper projects to get this resolved.

You can indeed purchase a Fleet ship from another Fleet. As long as your Fleet has the appropriate Provisions. You will need a Map Invite from the Fleet you want to make the purchase from. You could also Leave your current Fleet and join the Fleet which allows you to purchase the ship you want and then return to your "home" Fleet. As long as both Fleet Leaders are okay with this. Usually, the Fleet you are using to purchase the ship you want will require some sort of donation. Some Fleets offer the ability to do this without charging. I suggest trying the Nerds of Prey (NoP) Public Service Channel. They should be able to help you out.

It's more because the shipyard system is "independent" of the Fleet system.

My "Jello Echelon" member looking at "Starfleet Dental's" shipyard on a Dental-run fleet map is no different than my "Jello Echelon" fleet member looking at the shipyard of ESD.

Hence why he's still being "blocked" from buying the ship on whatever map he's on, because of how the shipyard works, it checks the player's fleet unlocks, not the "unlocks according to map".
Detecting big-time "anti-old-school" bias here. NX? Lobi. TOS/TMP Connie? Super-promotion-box. (aka the two hardest ways to get ships) Excelsior & all 3 TNG "big hero" ships? C-Store. Please Equalize...

Those stipulations make sense to me. I mean, you aren't a member of the other fleet, just a guest. It's like looking at the other fleet's photo album and asking for a copy of a photo to make into a poster. All you're getting is a copy of the photo, the original is still in the other fleet's album, and you're still having to go to Kinko's to make the poster on your dime.

And Cryptic is not stupid either. They put two of the franchises 'Hero Ships' Fleet Versions at Tier 5 Starbases - Voyager and its equivalents and the Sovereign (and probably soon) its equivalents.

buying stuff as a guest works though for every other item...though, I think, it still takes the provisions for it from your fleet.
