What's missing from the 20% Ship Sale

The sales advertisement is clear - ships & ship items are 20% off. Excluded from the sale are bundles that have items other than ships in them. So why are Ship Loadout Slots (500 Zen) and Ship Slots (500 Zen) excluded from the sales? Just curious. Guess I'll wait for the general 20% off everything sale, to buy those items.

Because those are Services, not Ships or Items. You'll find those buyables on sale when there is a Services sale.

Thanks for the reply louthelou. I thought the same thing, but Dry Dock Slots (400 Zen),which is also a Service, is on sale. The Dry Dock Slots also cost less than Loadouts and Ship Slots so to suggest they're not on sale because they're already inexpensive doesn't appear to be logical either.

Interesting. Since Dry Dock Slots are a service, though, I'd look at that as a bonus item being on sale, rather than the other ship Services being missing from the sale (since it's specifically only Ships and ship Items that are on sale). That's just a matter of perspective, though. Guessing at their reasoning is an exercise in futility; you'd have to get it from the horse's mouth to be sure. ;)

Who knows, maybe Dry Dock slots were not selling that well.

Dry Dock slots seems to not be very useful for lots of ships. Why bother putting a C-Store ship or Event ship in Dry Dock? Fleet ships, Lockbox/Lobi/Promotion ships, Obelisk Carrier, and Dilithium ships seem to be the only useful ships to put in Dry Dock.

I also put level up ships in there - the ones you get a Token for when you get promoted. I also end up putting that Type 10 Shuttle in there that you get from the Deep Space 9 Bundle. If your Character has any of the Bajoran Weapons (and especially if you upgraded them and don't want to throw them away) you can't Reclaim the Bundle to get the Shuttle.
