The Kobali are not "evil". Where does the idea come from that the Deferi want the Breen exterminated ?

Because every single quest involves killing every single Breen "for balance." Basically, you're committing GENOCIDE in the name of balance.

They did invite Admiral Death to their planet to solve the Breen Problem .... ;)

But seriously, I've played the Breen arc a couple of times this year and the Deferi did not drop a single hint to me that the neighborhood would be improved by completely eliminating their unwanted guests.

The Kobali are sneaky Doctor Fronkensteens but not evil.

    This poll makes no sense.
    Neither is evil.
    And Evil is subjective anyway.

I hate these filthy Neutrals, Kif. With enemies you know where they stand but with Neutrals, who knows? It sickens me.

Oh, come on, they hid the truth, they could of stopped the invasion, they could of saved the tubes from breaking down, they won't let the converted go back to their family's, they steal body's, they warp your mind to their thinking, they hijack your life and belief's.

    Evil.

I'll give you the point on the invasion topic and the crimes they committed there, but the rest is just plain wrong.
The Kobali take dead and discarded bodies and reanimate them with a virus that genetically modifies them and creates a new person. While there is a period of adjustment during which the old personality gets replaced with the new one the only other option for the body would have been to let it rot.
Is it strange? Yes, but when viewed as a full-body transplant it becomes more acceptable to me. Hell, humans are less respectful to corpses of pharaohs or prehistoric humans than the Kobali.

There is no such thing as evil.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

I'm against transplants of any kind, if body's where meant to do this then nature would of given life forms zipper's and connection plugs on parts.

Besides, I'm being cremated. So no rotting and no harvesting.

    Wow, just wow.
So saving somebody's life with a transplant is bad, because you have to cut someone open and operate on them. Okay so bypass surgery is out as well, same goes for appendectomy, removing cancers and all operations.
What's next? No vaccinations, blood infusions or insulin therapy because our arteries and bodies do not have convenient openings for injections?

The poll makes no real sense, but it's not so far out of the open to put them together. In my opinion, everything the Kobali got in STO would fit better with the Deferi. You have the planet siege situation, the "uniform" fits the Deferi a lot, the ships, the type of ground warfare (those semi mobile shield walls). I would have liked to see the Deferi get a boost to a at least fully fleshed out NPC faction.

Also, some competent writer needs to revisit the Deferi. Cryptic confuses a philosophy of neutrality with passiveness. Keeping balance is a active process, though. It doesn't make sense for the Deferi to have no means of defending themselves, not having opinons in negotiations and not acting on anything half the time.

The Deferi never said wipe out the Breen, they asked to to help from getting wiped out or enslaved by the Breen.

And the Kobali were using corpses.....dead people. Besides....getting a second chance at life's not bad....now is the original soul of the said dead person returns, or a new soul comes back? Not sure.

Solution could be to call Kobali on Defera, as Defari have problem with Borg, but Klingon/romulan/federation forces are eliminating large number of Borg drones on daily basis, so Kobali could take dead Borgs and turn them into Kobali, so they would get their number increasing, while Defeari would get relief from Borg threat, not to mention other Borgs ships as on Cube is just 10k drones, so when someone shot their ships, Kobali could take all corps, while alive ones get to starfleet and kdf, to reclaim assimilated drones.

tho i guess borg drones, can't be turned into kobali cause nanoprobes

    or

to use teleporters to duplicate Kobali or to produce clones and then transfer consciousness into them, as Asgard doing in Stargate, so there wouldn't be need for corps.

The zombie assimilators of course. I think I've made my opinions on the brainwashers very clear in previous threads.

The Deferi and their balance nonsense are totally lame, but they never do anything actually evil. The Breen in the storyline die by their own choice, attacking the invincible Chosen One is as good as suicide.

Nothing wrong with balance. Hell, the world would be a nicer place if we had more balance.
