Should starship mastery traits be offered cross faction as lobi/FC or dil purchases ?

With the huge choice of t6 starships for the Federation and multiple starship mastery traits compared to the more limited Romulans and KDF choices should Cryptic offer the Roms and KDF a way to obtain these traits like they have done with the Kelvin Highly Specialized and Stand Off traits and the Reciprocity trait outside of the lockbox option ?.

Tough one. It could be interesting.

Voted for the KDF & Rom neglect though. Who wouldn't if given the option.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

Or just get rid of the faction restrictions on ships. Let the KDF buy any Fed ship that has a desirable trait they want, and every Fed buy a KDF ship with a desirable trait they want. It might be less immersive, but it ensures that every ship gets the maximal potential sales audience.

Exactly what I was going to post.

To be honest, Cryptic should keep things unique to each faction or there is absolutely no point to actually play a different faction.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

Yes but add them to the lobi store
Ideally, all factions would have a (roughly) equal number of ships released with unique traits (instead of similar ships in different factions having the same trait), and the traits available would meaningfully contribute to faction identity. That's not a thing that's going to happen (it would drastically increase development time, and non-Fed ships don't sell well, so Cryptic is under-incentivized to produce them), so how about letting us buy them in the lobi store.
  • Yes but add them to the lobi store
FEDs have better Ship Traits. And their set bonuses look better to me aswell.

Another fun solution is a temporary fraction change.

The point to actually play a different faction is to actually play a different story.

Not to get around arbitrary restrictions on what items you're allowed to buy.

It could happen, if the ships were unrestricted. Non-Fed ships sell just fine (see also, 19 lockboxes and counting), but ships the Feds aren't allowed to buy don't...because most players play Fed.

No surprise, if you forbid the majority of your customers from buying a product, that product won't sell as much.

Instead of this situation where Klingon and Romulan ships are copypaste reskins of the Fed versions (or don't get made at all), we could get actually unique ships for each faction with unique traits and consoles and have them all be profitable...If they'd just sell them to everyone.

Probably the best idea which will make everyone the happiest.

"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."
