Help! My sci boff has been cloned!

My poor Addie went to the tailor for an outfit change and she came out looking like my new tact boff I bought.

I was updating my boffs' outfits, clicked on Addie after doing the other, "load outfit", didn't see the checkbox for "outfit only", and she got cloned to the tact boff!

Now I have no idea how to change her. The former "Addie" slot name was changed to my handle+character name, and renaming it only seems to change the name, not the character. I thought maybe a costume change button was on the boff page itself, but not there. I changed face, etc on that slot but when I click purchase/save outfit, and exit, nothing has changed on the boff.

Simply go back to the tailor. Open that boff and edit to look however you want. Done.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

See above. OP, you have just discovered a new feature in the tailor.

Loading a complete set of characteristics is useful for "transferring" active boffs between characters (saved costumes go to a folder on your PC, any character on your account can access them), swapping the identity of boffs (as you have just done), and holding on to customized appearances after you've discharged an officer (you might only want to be swapping a rare officer commissioned while leveling for a very rare officer of the same type now that you have it.)

Note worth keeping in mind: when you check "costume only" you will pull up a list of all saved costumes, even for the other factions and species to your boff/character. If you try to load one of these invalid costumes, you will often load the complete set of characteristics (and whatever uniform parts are available) instead. This is useful if you want to, say, make a KDF parody crew of your FED main (same characters, different setting). Sometimes it doesn't work, but if you save the character as a completely different uniform type (ex. honor guard, formal) it generally will.
