This zone could use some re-balancing. I know the game is only a few days old and there aren't a lot of people in here that can fight in this zone, but that makes it near impossible to fight right now. They want you to take the Towers from the Voth, but they're guarded by two Bulwarks, four or five Bastion cruisers and like a dozen Palisades. Considering the low number of players in this section and the fact that anyone that is here is a fresh character that isn't loaded up with amazing gear accumulated over six years of playing, it makes it pretty much impossible to do. The Voth turn on their invincibility shields and swat you away like a gnat at a barbecue.
It's frustrating.

Oh yeah because it's so much fun sitting here for 20 minutes waiting for other people to show up. There are areas in the game, such as the Undine Battlezone, which only send enough ships at you that you can handle. I can complete an objective alone without the need to wait for others to help out. If others do end up helping out, the game compensates by sending in more enemies. I don't understand why the Contested Zone can't be set up in a similar fashion.
I think valoreah was suggesting to wait a few days until there are more level 50 players. Most Reputation equipment requires certain items (Borg Neural Processors, Voth Cybernetic Implants, Isomorphic Injections, etc) that requires a bunch of people to complete the Battlezone or trading in 100 Marks for the item. There is just no way to defeat the Planet Killers in the Undine Battlezone for the Isomorphic Injections without a bunch of people.
It's pretty much this hard to keep just one timeline intact. ♪
I'd say my above point still stands. I'm ready to play now, not a week from now when more people have caught up to me.
It is if you want the achievement/trophy, since it counts towards completion of that storyline.
Which is a pretty stupid decision considering a lot of advice consists of not bothering with it. If the only advice people have is "skip it" and we all skipped it, then there would never be anyone around to play with. I'm pretty sure they want to encourage people to play their game, not go do something else.
Yeah, because it's balanced. I was just hoping that other locations could be just as balanced. While you do require a larger group of people to fight the planet killers, it's because they're bosses. I can still complete the base objectives prior to the boss fight without help in the Undine Zone, but this is something that can't be easily done in the Contested Zone. This makes it tedious and something I don't even want to play anymore. I'm pretty sure their goal is to get people to play, not turn them off to it.
