The fact that Pakled - a species that according to canon is not in the Federation, has never had a Starfleet member, and only appears in a single episode of Star Trek: The Next Generation, in which they are the antagonists to the Starfleet crew (and appear in none of the other series apart from brief unnamed background characters with no lines on an alien station) - is a playable Federation race and available as bridge officers while Denobulan - a race that is a member of the Federation and which one of the main characters from Star Trek: Enterprise belongs to (appearing in 90 episodes) - is not an available option for Federation playable race and bridge officers is disgraceful.
P.S. it would also be nice to have Benzite bridge officers.
Well, "disgraceful" might be a bit strong, but--yes. Denobulans. I don't know what their built-in character traits would be, but this is as good a place as any to start the speculating.

Have you seen the episode of TNG with the Pakled? Not having Denobulan as an option yet is one thing, but putting in Pakled as a Fed race option (they should not be there at all) before Denobulan becomes an option, well, I think "disgraceful" is pretty apt.
I don't know what their built-in character traits would be, but this is as good a place as any to start the speculating.
Well, they are optimistic and like crowded environments with lots of people, perhaps some kind of buff that increases with the number of allied characters within proximity? They can also climb near-vertical surfaces in the manner of a lizard and have powerful immune systems, even holding out for a time against Borg nano-probes, but are quite sensitive to radiation.
To this day I can't understand why Pakleds are a playable race for the Federation ?, considering they are not a member of the Federation, Most people wouldn't have a clue what a Pakled was without watching that 1 episode of TNG.
The Federation has a whooping 150 member worlds and therefore 150 other more deserving species to be a playable character than a 1 episode antagonist of the crew of the TNG. (They were used as background characters and were mentioned in a couple DS9 episodes but never used as a main species again).
On the Denobulan's considering Phlox featured for 4 season's of Enterprise you'd have thought they would be a playable race as he was feature so prominently in Enterprise.

But no one likes Enterprise outside a small group of fans, and Cryptic has done its best to avoid enterprise as much as possible, whole trying to scoop it all under the rug along with ToS and Kelvn stuff in the AoY expansion so they could get it done and move on.
I'll be honest I'm not a fan of Enterprise (Prequels Hollywood has been fixated on them for over a decade now. Messing with the lore of established universes). If seasons 1-3 had been more like season 4 then it might have lasted longer.
I only agree with Denobulan's as although there's 150 member races of the Federation only a few did actually get screen time longer than a background character and Denobulan's did.
Although we could have had Bynar's but that would have been awkward and interesting as they travel in pairs.
On another note why do Klingons players not NPC's not have have Pet or Combat Targs, or the Klingon dagger the D'k tahg ?

Believe me, fewer people like Pakleds. Enterprise is my least favorite of the series with the exception of TOS, but I would still like to see Denobulans and not Pakleds in Starfleet.

I don't know why Denobulans aren't a species. But arguing that Pakleds (which have been in for 5 of our 6 years), shouldn't be is kind of puerile. No, they are not a member of the Federation. Yes, they were only in one episode. Why are they in? Dunno, you'd have to talk to the team that worked here when they went in (before my time on the project). My guess? They're pretty easy. Add some bushy eyebrows, and you're halfway there. Denobulans take quite a bit more sculpting. And honestly, Pakleds are pretty great. I expect they were just someone's pet project.
Bottom line, I can see your point, and even agree that Denobulans should be a Fed playable species. But starting your request thread on some high-righteously indignant-horse, is not a good way to go about presenting your case. . .

Aw snap I heard that crackdown all the way from the east coast. Either way i agree on the Denobulan bit. Theyre for sure a nice to have if anybody on the character team finds it in the kindness of their hearts to add them (and of course, skorts )
Denobulans are a Playable Race.
I've had a Denobulan Character for well over 2 years.
They may not be an "Official" Race, but all the Parts to make them are available in the Costume Creator.
Just make an "Alien" and Choose the Denobulan Parts.
Small reference to the nakhul? So there werent nakhul lockboxes, red alerts, or missions prior to aoy that included them central to their stories prior to aoy?
Exactly as I said, you jammed it all into AoY so you could get it done and over with ASAP.
Huh?
So by that logic, did we only do Delta Rising so we could be done with all of Voyager "ASAP"?
Did we do Legacy of Romulus so we could be done with the Romulans "ASAP"?
Releasing a bunch of content that follows one theme, does not mean we have no interest in it. . . quite the opposite. Why would we have made all of that stuff (literally months of work) if we had no interest in it?
... But arguing that Pakleds (which have been in for 5 of our 6 years), shouldn't be is kind of puerile. No, they are not a member of the Federation. Yes, they were only in one episode...
Not exactly, they are in a lot of DS9 episodes (apparantly for the Pakled the "Quarks" is quite popular).
EDIT: I can imagine a *lot* of interesting debates with Morn.
Beta, LTA, CE, Multiple preorder Versions, all Addon Packs except AoY, nearly all KDF/Rom and ~50% of all Fedships, over 25 LockboxShips, Endurer of Atari's "Year of Hell", but...

Any chance of continuing that interest and expanding upon the Romulan's and that other main faction you have laying around somewhere collecting dust. Oh ! I forget what they are called ?, Ktarian's ?, Kelvan's ?, Karemma ? someone help me out here.
So you're saying that the temporal story line shows that what? Cryptic hates Enterprise, JJ Abrams, and TOS? If so, why would they do anything that encompasses those story lines?
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
So you're saying that the temporal story line shows that what? Cryptic hates Enterprise, JJ Abrams, and TOS? If so, why would they do anything that encompasses those story lines?
Reread point 3.
That doesn't answer my question since they don't have a mandate to do anything in particular.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
-No Suliban for the Roms
-No Denobulans for the Feds
I'll agree with this, because it should have happened already. I even recall one of the Devs clearly stating that the Suliban were inended to join the Republic, but I guess plans change.
Basically no mention of ENT or anything in it outside of a brief off-hand mention of the Na'Khul in the "Doomsday Machine" mission.
Allow me to present to you a bunch of items that were released for this game that aren't related to AOY;
T'Pol Uniform (copied/inspired from ST: Enterprise)
Vulcan D'Kyr (copied/inspired from ST: Enterprise)
Andorian Escort (all four of them; inspired by the design seen on ST: Enterprise)
Pet Beagle (inspired from ST: Enterprise)
Taggart (the Denobulan Captain in the FED Tutorial)
The Romulan Drone Ship (copied/inspired from ST: Enterprise)
The Republic T'varo (copied/inspired from ST: Enterprise)
The Xindi Ships (copied/inspired from ST: Enterprise)
The Xindi-Reptilian Bridge Officer (copied/inspired from ST: Enterprise)
The (various) Xindi Dut Officers
Unless I'm mistaken, none of that was released with, nor near AOY, and yet is all linked to an earlier era, so yeah...
And whilst we're here throwing out species that should be; might I bring up the Deltan, and Benzite (we can/could create them, but no Bridge Officers?)
Whereas Legacy of Romulus, and Delta Rising, are both integrated into everything that happened from game start to the end of the Iconian War, Agents of Yesterday is so carefully segmented off from anything else in the game that you could remove it entirely, and not even notice that it should have been madeat all, because there would be no hints/suggestions that it should even exist.
Isn't this kind of intentionally needed though? The AOY content takes place in the past, we're not playing in the past anymore, we're all in 2409 (or 2410). The AOY content needs to be limited for the very reason that it's taking place in an already established timeline.
That doesn't answer my question since they don't have a mandate to do anything in particular.
Except the mandate to do whatever CBS tells them, and to fulfill whatever contract they signed when they took over the project.
If Cryptic actually cared about, or liked, Enterprise, they wouldn't have sidelined it as much as they did, only to try to jam it all into one expansion, with as little integration into the rest of the game as AoY has.
-No Suliban for the Roms
-No Denobulans for the Feds
-Basically no mention of ENT or anything in it outside of a brief off-hand mention of the Na'Khul in the "Doomsday Machine" mission
Even ToS got an arc heavily featured around it with the Devidian stuff, and the stuff in the latter Klingon War missions.
What makes it more funny is that they revamped the Cardassian Struggle arc, inserted Mirror Leeta into it, and then later added her to the Temporal Liberation Front forces, but made no hints or suggestions of Temporal War stuff in her appearance in that arc. They only added Temporal connections in the Badlands Battlezone/Terran reputation logs.
Whereas Legacy of Romulus, and Delta Rising, are both integrated into everything that happened from game start to the end of the Iconian War, Agents of Yesterday is so carefully segmented off from anything else in the game that you could remove it entirely, and not even notice that they had made it at all because there would be no hints/suggestions that it should even exist.
There's a lot more Enterprise content and references than you are claiming there is. Especially considering what little Enterprise show content we have to go on.
- An actual C-Store Enterprise pack which contains Enterprise Uniforms among other things
- T'pol's outfit
- Suliban Helix Mission
- P'jem MIssion
- Xindi ambassador in story missions
- 2 Xindi Lockboxes with all the ship + weapons, outfits, and the Boff that come with them
- 6 cross-faction story missions either with Daniels or Kal Dano
- Playable Suliban Cell ship + Suliban doffs
- Playable NX ship
- Playable Andorian Ship from Enterprise
- Playable Vulcan ship from Enterprise
- Battle of Procyon 5 queue
- Denobulans are playable as Aliengen
- Suliban are playable as Aliengen though less convincing than the iron clad denobulan
- Xindi-Primate are playable as Aliengen
On top of all this, who are you to say that this is all the Enterprise content that there will be. You speak as though they are done and will never revisit it.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.

All of that amounts to
"**** sold in the store that has no bearing on the the actual game's contant or what the player's actually play or see during any of the missions/lore"
So how many missions take place on the Enterprise-D in the mid 2360s? Do they hate TNG too?
All my previous post amounts to is a healthy amount of Enterprise content being added to the game. And there is NO reason to assume that there will be nothing else added. You simply have nothing to say that can back up your assertions.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
"**** sold in the store that has no bearing on the the actual game's content or what the player's actually play or see during any of the missions/lore"
You'll notice I didn't mention any of the C-store or lockbox garbage when talking about stuff the devs included regarding LoR or DR.
There's just no pleasing some people. What exactly is it that you wanted to see from them (Cryptic)?
No, because a good narrative would have peppered small hints/references to the Temporal Cold War throughout the game, regardless of if the missions in which they were mentioned in.
It's absurd to think that they'd have known about a Temporal Expansion five or six years ago, and even if they did have ideas back then, plans change.
The sheer number of appearances of Worf, and Sela, as well as how many missions are based on TNG episodes, throughout the game, show they do not.
Most of the things you listed are either
1. C-story or lockbox stuff
2. Really straw grasping stuff like "well, you can kinda get close to making X alien if you do all this stuff in the character creator!" And by that logic, you could claim they have all that Cardassian content in the game because you can kinda made a passable Cardassian in the character creator.
The fact you have to resort to cash grab items, and user hacks, really only proves my point.
You conveniently ignored the 6 Daniels/Kal Dano story missions that were listed. That doesn't include the P'jem and Suliban Helix mission so it's actually 8 story missions.
Why don't you just come out and say what you think would be an acceptable Enterprise addition that would satisfy you? I'm sure that it's not unreasonable at all.
When you see "TRIBBLE" in my posts, it's because I manually typed "TRIBBLE" and censored myself.
I think it would be fair to say that Enterprise is not the favorite show of most of the devs.
I think it would be fair to say that there is MORE TNG and DS9 related content in the game, due to the fact that those are the shows WE (devs) grew up watching, and tend to have more of an affinity for.
I think it would be fair to say that Enterprise has featured in fewer missions and less content, due to the 250 year gap between it and the 2410 "present."
I think it would be fair to claim that TOS is generally also featured in less content, due to similar timeline issues, and it would also be fair to say that due to the 50th anniversary, we felt compelled (not because CBS told us to, or because we are money grubbing Ferengi), to find a way to feature TOS (and yes, some Enterprise), in an expansion this year.
I think it would be unfair to claim that the devs hate Enterprise (or any other show/movie).
I think it would be unfair to claim that Enterprise has been sidelined because of some global distaste for it.
I think it would be unfair to think that we would ever do an expansion, a story arc, or even a mission, "Just to get it out of the way and be done with it."
Everyone in the office is a Trekkie. Some are more hardcore than others. Some like Enterprise (myself included), some do not. You'll find the same split among all Trekkies.
There are 50 years of Star Trek stories to glean from, and build upon. We work on content that interests us. It's true ENT has less direct content around it, but again, that's due to the 250 year gap between then and now, not due to a lack of interest on the Devs' part. I'm sorry Denobulans are not a playable species. I will bring that up with the people who can affect that. But it's not some grand conspiracy against Enterprise, and I think we can probably stop now. Yes?

Have you seen the episode of TNG with the Pakled? Not having Denobulan as an option yet is one thing, but putting in Pakled as a Fed race option (they should not be there at all) before Denobulan becomes an option, well, I think "disgraceful" is pretty apt.
There are some Denobulan NPC's, yes, this is why it confuses me even more that they are not yet playable or available as bridge officers.
