PvE and PvP any fun

I'm going to check them out, but wanted to see if that's what most folks do

You mean the PVE queue right? Yes they can be fun. Some work better than others with a pick up group / random strangers who do not work together.

PVP is broken and is best avoided.

Truth be told, PVP may be viable on the console currently since a lot of the unbalanced stuff has not made it to the console release yet.

PVE can be interesting, but with power creep the most played queues (ISA and CCA among others) have become far too easy.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

i see fewer strangers in pve nowadays and queue pvp it's almost whole day at 0, why does that happen i wonder
to difficult those pve's elite? pvp is to hard cause the difference between new players in there and players who have the best stuff is to big? if one gets blown away at that someone aoids pvp if the pve elite is to hard and often is failure then someone would avoid pve as well

Yeah the best advice one could probably give, is to avoid ISA and CCA as a newer player, if you're interested in actually playing something.

If you need easy marks and enjoy seeing everything being destroyed, then you should play ISA, CCA, CSA or fleet alert :)

Missions that I would recommend if you actually want to be able to do something are Borg Disconnected, Undine Assault, most ground queues, Azure Nebula, Gateway to Grethor, the battlezones and some other ones I'm probably forgetting...
These queues will allow you to contribute regardless of the team you're in since there's multiple instances within the mission so the team is spread out over the map.

As these guys have mentioned this isn't a PvP game anymore. I've been around since 2011 and can't remember the last time a even a new map was added for PvP. Kerrat which used to be a open cross faction PvP type battle zone has been bugged since day one, Its been a couple of years since I last entered, but I can't recall it ever seeing any attention to fix those issues.

Basically enjoy while you can on console as a lot of PvE goodies not yet released are going to kill it as casual play.
