    Hmmm...
    Nebula:
    Tac pod = pilot seating
    Eng pod = command seating
    Sci pod = intel seating

Alternatively, it could have Temporal seating with the pod giving it a boost to it's corresponding profession...

I definitely can see how interesting the nebula could be most of all with the multi-mission pods. THough I am wanting to see more of a tier six version of the patrol escort with a more hit/run style trait on it.

The hold up is an anniversary or other larger event to give them context.

    Maybe TNG anniversary next year.

The hold up is all the other ships Cryptic is making. AOY, Kelvin, T6 Connie and her KDF and RR sisters, the next PC lockbox, the first console lockbox...

Nebula I've been waiting for a long long time. My tier 5u still holds up well but Tier 6 yes please. And yes potential for a 3 pack.

The Sovereign is probably the biggest mystery as to why it has not had a Tier 6 release yet. It carried the name Enterprise, i'd say that's a confirmed sale just for that bit of Trek trivia.

Nova meh not to bothered about personally, but I have seen others asking for it so who am I to deny them the pleasure of flying their favourite ship. "Make it so."

    I like your thinking.

I would actually like that as well. My only problem is that my Klingon already has a ship (my chars all settle for one) and I don't know what to do with a T6 Vor'Cha in the battelcruiser saturated KDF line-up. If I was to create another Klingon I'd probably go for it, though.

Pretty much this. They cant release the Sovereign lockbox until the Kelvin one has finished it's run.

Seriously though, the Varanus would be a good choice, especially for a cross-faction three-pack of Nebula, Varanus and Ha'Nom successor models. There are a few suggestions buried in the forum for those pig-1.gif

I actually think that some other ship than the Varnus would be better, since than we would have more variation in the look of the ship, over just a updated Varanus for science. I would love to see a science ship from the Orion with the console from both the Orion science ship an the Gorn Vanranus being cross usable on each other. Where as withe Gorn I would not mind seeing their Zilant Battleship or the Balaur Dreadnought being added.

While for the Nausicaan it would be cool to get their Destroyer Escort, to have a slightly different look an style destroyer/raider in the KDF, There there is the Ferasan which I think could use getting a race specific ship like the Caitian had with the Atrox, which might have parts an consoles that are usable on either, while also making it that both ships could be usd by either race with a set of parts that fits their version. The ship I coud see the Ferasan get would be something like a escort or a carrier-Dreadnaught with frigates option ships to use on either the atrox or this Dreadnaught-carrier.

We might get a Sovy around the anniversary of Star Trek First Contact.
I have no doubt that one is in the works, but when to release it is probably going to be one of the factors. And I'm sure they also have to come up with an equivelent Romulan and Klingon ship for most of the ship releases now. Occasionally we might get a solo release like the Hestia, but for the most part we've been getting equivelent releases of major ships across all three factions.

As far as the Nebula goes, I would thing the tactical mission pod would be a slot for one front arc weapon, engineer gets a hangar, and science gets a science/uni console slot.

I would think it would be more of a buff to the different things you can use based on the pod. Such as that each pod has a prototype system implemented into them that gives certain abilities improved//additional effects with each pod correlating to one of the three main careers. The tactical might be a new experimental tactical system that buffs your like attack-patterns an weapon buffs, while also having a deployable prototype weapon you can use for a duration after activating the pod that removes the buff to your tactical abilities for a short short duration after deploying the weapon.

What kind of buffs/additional effects would you/or others want to see given to some of the main career abilities from these pods if done like this, and what kind of deployable ability would be good to have for such pods as well. I am looking at this as the Nebula/advanced research science vessel as a form of test bed for developing an testing prototype/experimental systems an weapons.

How about a T6 Ambassador? Or are we calling the Guardian-class Cruiser the spiritual successor to that class bearing the name Enterprise?

The Guardian is based of the Andrew Probert design of the Ambassador so technically it is an ambassador

We also need a mirror universe nebula. Anyone who has visited the badlands BZ knows and loves them so why not make them available for all. :open_mouth:

This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

The Mirror Nebula needs a special Starship Trait for Tractor Beam Repulsors.

Repulsive Announcement +5 seconds activation time for TBR to play a voice recording. Targets hit by your TBR suffer -50 % flight speed and turn rate strenght for 15 seconds and each pulse of your TBR drains 3 points of engine power from the target.

The Nebula I believe the 2nd most used ship across the Star Trek franchise behind the Galaxy class

I think the devs may just be a little stuck with what special console to even pack with a T6 Sovereign. Designing ships is probably the relatively easiest and most fun part of the process, but actually coming up with a unique toy to toss in with it? That's the one that they really gotta sit down and brainstorm for.

Though honestly, I'd just say give it its own Saucer Separation console. Call it "Advanced Saucer Separation", make it part of a console set with the Wide-Angle Quantum Torpedo and the Metreon Gas Canisters.
To make it different than the Galaxy class and Odyssey class saucers, maybe make it a bit faster and more tactically oriented. And, like the Galaxy saucer, having all 3 consoles on the ship improves it somehow.

Just my thoughts on the subject.

I think the answer to most of the questions these days is the console release. Why is the AOY expansion so small? Why can't we get a T6 Sovereign, Nova, Nebula? Why are they deleting bugs from the known-issues-list without fixing them first?

I fear that the console release will be a mixed blessing. It could significantly reduce the amount of new content in the next few months, except for lockboxes. They will always find time to create new lockboxes.

I really doubt that the game coming out on console is going to really meaningfully impact content being created. Since I'm fairly sure the department that manages maintaining the games on either system are a separate department than the ones that build missions, ships, and other things players directly interact with.

Well that's a different matter. I doubt there are too many people at Cryptic who work on two seperate games, STO and Neverwinter. But there most certainly are people who work on the PC and Console version of STO at the same time.

I dont like the ship per say, but Id be strongly tempted if they made a Fed Nebula 3 ship variant, give it the Vesta class treatment with a Science, Engineering, and Tactical slanted versions of a super science ship. I think the Tactical version should look like a modern Miranda class (USS Reliant) variant, and maybe the engineering variant has the Odyssey style neck treatment, so you get 3 different saucer types to play with. Id buy one if they let us put any of the Vesta consoles on it too, so Im encouraged to play a slower beefier Science ship if I want to some times.

Well of course it's the same people who worked on it.
It's essentially the same game, with different mechanics to make it playable on consoles.
And once the game is launched, both versions are maintained by different departments within Cryptic.
The devs who make content are not the devs responsible for keeping the game up and running once it is launched. Those are two completely different departments within the studio. (example: the ships dev and the missions dev are not the devs who maintain servers, that is not their department)
