Anybody else have terrible lag in space? I have to cancel every STF after a few seconds, it's so bad. Ground is fine though.
If you're getting FPS lag it's at your end, if you're getting rubberbanding or UI lag it's anywhere from Cryptic's servers, the ISP's or you. It helps if you specify what type so we can help you as people tend to blame all lag on Cryptic.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
I haven't been experiencing lag or rubberbanding to speak of for awhile now.
Like Azrael said, run a trace and see what that says.
I haven't run any stfs of late, but I did just finish two runs of Skirmish on a lvl 32 captain in the 'free' galaxy class and had no problems whatsoever with any kind of lag or rubberbanding.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.
There is space lag in the D.Q. mission with Ocampa colony ships that need you to search 3 waypoints, other than that, the surface map's of episode's "The Kuva'magh", and "Jabberwocky" on Mirror Bajor have lag too.
My only major lag issue is on the surface of Regulus IV in "The Kuva'magh". Makes it dern hard to complete the puzzles to disarm the bombs, as the clicks are time-sensitive and if you take too long the things you click on rearrange their order. On the other tentacle, that happens to every toon I send there, and it doesn't happen on the interior maps or in space, so I have reason to believe it's on Cryptic's end. If the map took any longer to complete, I might kick up a fuss over it. As it is, every time I make a new toon I cross my fingers, hoping that this time it'll be fixed...
