September 8th, 2016 - 50th Anniversary...

It's only 30 days away now...
Any guesses as to what Cryptic may have planned for that week?

The 8th is a Thursday this year, so it will be Patch day for STO.

I'm still holding out hope for a Prime Universe - T6 Constitution.
(though I'm not holding my breath)

The Exeter or Enterprise-A would work for me as well.

Anybody really think They managed to get Shatner to do some voice work?
(I kinda-sorta doubt it myself)

What other kind of Original Series things would you like top see added to the game?

    sorry if this has been asked before but for events like this what do the guys at criptic normally do?

    ive been on and off the game for a while so not sure what should we expect from the anniversary,do they release a new ship in the c-store,giveaway a free ship,or maybe just something more simple like a uniform or something like that?

    A special loading screen appearing for a month or so, of a picture of the original crew, like
    in Beyond
    .

    Or an holodeck mission where you get to explore the Enterprise and interact with holograms of the original crew. Kinda like ENT: These are the Voyages... (yes, I know...), but done right.

    While I would love a T5-T5U (or better) Connie. Better still. Make it kit-bashable with the T2 parts. I will not hold my breath.
    Last time it was talk to a Worf hologram and get a custom Baldric for those toons that did it. (And years later now available account wide if you unlocked the Klingon outfit in AoY.) So probably something small and cosmetic. A missing costume piece that could be shared across the characters like the Romulan Helmet or A slung tricorder.

    Heh. You are reminding me of things like running for a capitol in Dark Age of Camelot and falling through the world because one block wasn't solid. Or someone in EQ accidentally finding the 'mob' that controlled fall damage and killing it. (Not to mention dying by casting levitate as your damage was computed by how long you were off the ground.)

    I wonder how many other quirky faults we all remember in mmo's.

    Probably a mission and that Mind Trap PVE they said they were working on to bring back. I wouldn't count on it being anything big though. They'll try to make a big fuss about whatever lackluster thing they do.
