    Well we do have official stats from the dev's on who plays what... in any case I expect this thread to be overrun shortly with whiny play-the-victim types who will make a bunch of rediculous conspiracy theories about how Cryptic has conspired to destroy the lesser factions since day one (Despite purposely putting them in the game in the first place) so I wish you luck OP.

    Other: I try to make the most of the diversity this game has to offer, and so have Fed/Rom/KDF mains.

    For role play purposes I'd align with the Romulan Star Empire because that to me feels like what an authentic Romulan of the future would be like, and not the Tal'Shiar or military personnel that falsely seem to represent the rest of the Romulan people in a time long ago. I'd also choose to be a rogue agent among the KDF, since they let other people and species watch their own backs and mind their own business, unlike Feds.

    I have romulan and klingon characters, but I never play them. My klink just got to level 50 a couple months ago, and I created her the week STO launched.

    I have toons in all three factions, but I have more Feds than anything. And my Rom is Fed-aligned.

    I do still like to play my Rom and KDF, but I'm primarily Fed.
    Now a LTS and loving it.
    Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
    I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything. :D

    Mainly, but not exclusively, a KDF player. 4 Klingons, 3 of whom are "maxed" main alts with epic gear, fleet boots and lockbox stuff; one "fun" TOS themed alt from the Delta Recruit event. 2 Feds, one ENT themed and a comedy Ferengi with as much free/second hand gear as possible.

    Honestly, the Fed ships and uniforms don't generally make me thing OOH!, while STO's gameplay generally makes more sense as a Klingon.

    the only non-fed characters I have are - romulan deltie I created because "romulans are op in dps so maybe it may beworth to have rmulan alt" and kling delite I created to make sure I won;t miss those delta recruitment rewards for klink arcs

    and then there is my fed main and fed delite made in same purpose as that kdf one.... ;p

    Although I like the Mogai and some other Romulan ships, the Federation is the faction I can most easily identify with.

    Never really cared for Romulans otherwise, same for the Klingons. The latter don't have any good looking ships in my opion, there are some like the Negh'var and the Dyson ships that have acceptable looks.

    I don't think I'll be playing the TOS faction a lot (but that may change once I start playing it of course), I'll probably keep playing standard Fed characters mostly. The only other faction I would really like to play, is a Voth one if it were ever added.

    Though I have an equal number of characters in every faction (so far), my efforts tend to focus primarily on my Federation characters.

    This is mostly because they have the most stuff. If it were more balanced, my playtime would be spread a little more evenly.

    My preference would be no factions at all.

    But a freeform character is not allowed, so I mostly play the first character I created after discovering the awesomeness that is custom Aliens (because I was not allowed to switch my old toons' species). Which happens to be a Romulan.
