Right now War Thunder, although it's surprisingly not on their list (fun PVP and beautiful artwork, nice F2P model), with this a close second. I take breaks from time to time, but it's the only MMO I keep coming back to.
Without question Monster Hunter is the best online experience I've ever had. It's always engaging and never gets boring (for me anyways) because the skill level of other players always varies wildly.
Is that the one with the map that's soo big the devs say you may never run into another player without trying? Or am I thinking of No man's sky?
Yep that's no man's sky. Star Citizen is the one which made 113 million $ (till now at least) on promises alone.
Will be hilarious once that bubble bursts.

It's false to say it made that on promises alone. There are actually playable components. It feels like it's years from something I would actually want to play, and from my Arena Commander experiences I plainly fail at operating a starship in it, but it has definitely delivered more than promises. That is why they also manage to make more money all the time - the stuff they release is enough to keep people excited.
That's not to say it actually is "worth" what it got, or will ever achieve what it promises...
Star Trek Online Advancement: You start with lowbie gear, you end with Lobi gear.
star citizen is an expensive habit, *tifoil hat on* make one think its some sort of trick that it wont ever be completed and yet they have gotten millions from player good will. its like eating raw egg before its cooked because you trust the source that its fine for consumption when its supposed to be hard boiled. see it as rather niave to do such a thing.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

I'm not a backer, but I've read posts from people who are and many seem happy with the early access content they've tried -- the arena, sandbox flying, ship walkthroughs. The developers are clearly spending a lot of money on content instead of just running away with suitcases full of cash.
Will they end up with a game I want to play? I have no idea. But they do seem to be working on it.

Sure they are working on something but it's unlikely they will actually fulfil what they promised. "Hype" is a double edged sword after all. It looks nice and may sometime in the future maybe end up as "decent" but no way close to the holy grail of sci-fi games it's advertised as.
Which in turn will TRIBBLE off alot of people especially those who've put large sums (srsly there's like an 18.000$ pack you can "buy" and I'm sure people did) into this "game". And the shitstorm will be most entertaining.
If they manage to somehow pull this off I'll apologize for every bad word I said/wrote about them and fall to my knees in awe for the best space game that will ever grace my hard drive with it's presence but chances are it won't come to this.

I have followed the development of this game for some time now, the problem i see with SC is that the entire process of being sooo transparent has actually become a thorn in that dev teams side, as well as CR.
People become more and more impatient as time goes on, i do not believe they can go beyond say the end of 2017 without launching a full playable game, which will be right about 5 yrs of development time without having a real torch and pitchfork situation develop amongs't backers.

Lol yea some of the pledge packages for that game are real eye openers, however as i recall getting decently invested in it with some perks starts at around 250-300 bucks, still not pocket change by any means for a game thats future still isn't carved in stone.
@semalda and @seriousdave I'm really looking forward to No Man's Sky.. even considering a pre order (which I said I'd never do again after Diablo3) but I've watched a lot of video of this game so far. And everything I've seen thus far has been really really impressive. Couple of my friends already pre ordered, so I'm pretty pumped. And may actually break my "no more pre orders" rule. You should check out some of the vids on YouTube.
Just hoping I can actually find my friends in the super massive maps lol.

I'd heard of this and not given it much thought, but just looked into it properly.....very nice. This looks like what STO "could" be if they put some decent effort into the Genesis system.
I'll be watching closely to see what happens once it's released.
Voted for eve. Constant updates, including the game engine. Immersion is good, great story, epic trailers for every big update. The moment a fleet drops out of warp and engages another fleet...
That's exactly what I was thinking as well @lordsteve1
And good news is that the Sto team has confirmed that they have been working on some form of exploration system. They didn't mention when it would be ready or anything, but I got rather excited when I'd heard that they are indeed working on it.
Think ill go vote for STO on this poll now that im home from work. Its the least I can do, since STO has been my game of choice for the last 3 years. I figure I owe them that much.
when i have opened this thread we were 14-15 place now we are at 10-11 . so spread the word . more recruitment more money more content . do it for CARDASSİA ...

This is so sad. This game deserves more credit.

Support 90 degree arc limitation on BFaW! Save our ships from looking like flying disco balls of dumb!
"What's your boggle?"
Are all of the vendors Taco Bell? Does it finally explain how to use the Three Seashells? Did they get Stallone and Bullock to do voices?

No, I do not mean the Neverwinter that's on arc.
