I thought they made the Leonard Nimoy memorial so no-one could invade it?

Yet on both Vulcan instances the statue has a member of Dental sat on its head and others on the plinth, popping disco balls and pontificating about how they are the official custodians of the memorial.
Would it be too much to ask for them to confine their "form of celebrating Nimoy's life" as they call it, or griefing as everyone else calls it, to just one of the instances to allow other players to celebrate Nimoy's life as they see fit as well?
Last year I am sure the devs intervened at one point to protect the memorial from this kind of behaviour.
How about the devs step up again this year?
