Constant lag and disconnecting all week

So all week I've had an issue where everything ingame stops and then after a few mins of not being able to do a thing I DC this is happening constantly and im not sure why so any help would be great.

I did upgrade to Windows 10 last week....

    getting the same since yesterday , now since the new skill tree is on tribble I cannot get into the game due to it stop loading at 50%

    its now timing out when trying to login....

    Despite my connection working reasonably well with any other download, it seems I can barely get any bandwidth to the patch server. I started updating nearly an hour ago, and I've gotten all of 27MB so far. I know DSL isn't the greatest, but I should ideally have gotten at least 11x that much by now under normal circumstances.

    got into the game now but when loading new sector/system it stops at loading screen at 50% , I have to alt-tab out of game and close game
