Does your crit chance/severity apply to bridge officer abilities?

I'm thinking of switching around my bridge officers for more of a science focus, but am wondering if the superior romulan operative trait affects the science bridge officer abilities. Any help would be appreciated.

    + Crit H & D gained from boffs are global/ship wide so I'd say yes. :)
