Item Dismantling

Just a thought as I haven't read anyone post the idea yet, what about the ability to dismantle gear ? The thouught has to have crossed a few minds when you vendor a dozen grops that you wish you could get some mats out of them instead if ECs. Simple, a Purple mat for a purple item, a blue mats for a blue item and a greem for a green. I guess I am more trying to get some thoughts and feelings on the idea as much as get a DEV response. I have never seen a game where no matter what you got from a drop, it was generaly worthless most the time. It weould make drops more important and make crafting somewhat easier...if only slightly.
