Best Defensive Traits for Low Hull Ships

Looking for advice on the best Personal and Rep Space Traits to increase survivability as a Sci ship captain in today's PvP environment. I have a low hull (60k) temp sci ship and I'm trying to figure out which Traits to slot to counter all of the direct to hull kinetic and other stuff that's making tacscorts so damned spikey these days.

Thoughts? Advice? Examples of known effective configs?

Note: Please exclude any discussion of the Zahl Trait since that's out of reach for now. Basic Personal and Rep Traits (or ones easily obtained off Exchange) only please! :smile:

    Thanks for the feedback. I've got "Rock & Roll" (doesn't everybody?), and you're right that Temporal Insight looks out of reach for anyone who missed the DR recruit BS.

    Is Failsafe Scrambler worth the EC? Any testimonials about it's usefulness?

    Also, what about the "regular" Rep and Personal Traits?

    For example, for Rep Traits I'm now running:

    Hull Repairing Nanites
    Advanced Targeting Systems (for the Crt Sev boost)
    Active Hull Hardening
    Particle Generator Amplifier (I use TBR/FBP mostly)
    Auxiliary Power Configuration - Defense (for obvious reasons)

    And for Personal Traits, I'm running:

    Techie
    Positive Feedback Loop
    Conservation of Energy
    Particle Manipulator
    Innocuous (for the Crit Sev boost)
    Astrophysicist
    Molecular Defense Specialist
    Particle Defense Specialist
    Operative (for the Crit Sev boost)

    Anything you would swap-out? Are there any known "under performers" in that mix? Or better options from the normal Personal and Rep Traits available to most players at T5 (almost) across the board?

    No traits but you might try Aux2ID with DOff and PH (immunity to TBR afaik)

    Take out the two CrtD traits (i. and o., it's just 3.5% CrtD or something small like that), try coalition tactics for queue and of course failsafe scrambler, I combined it with tactical retreat ship trait and it works quite great, I also took in biotech patch + I'm going to get IL, other ones are nanite repair matrix (midnight mission IIRC) and rep nanoprobe field generator instead of iconian rep (just 5% more exotic dmg, dont know whether base or final damage), together these things made my Wells able to take a lot of damage in
    Against some very special idiots you cannot do much (definitely no pilotescorts with torps, fbp, and FAW and of course not in a fleet known for having some of the greatest cheesers ingame :tongue: (this doesnt mean the fleet itself is bad)), try to survive and hope someone gets them down
