best anti proton beams?

i have been working really hard on my baby the Scimitar Dreadnought Warbird . i almost got the firefly where i want her much better def to make up for horrible shields. now just need more dps.thing is i have no clue what i need when it comes to beams highest i have got so far is 32k on a crit hit. i will be able to get that higher when i finish a few rep lines. thank you to anyone that can help with my beans

    Anything with [DMG], [CRTD] and/or [PEN].

    I was once told...if you can't hit the target, then what does it matter? I went [Acc]x3 and x4 and use five mag regulators.

    That's true, especially in PVP. Otherwise accuracy is the worst mod available.

    Im loving a mix of Herald antiproton, crafted antiproton and Undine antiproton currently.
    Mods are a mix of critD/dmg/critH for the lockbox stuff and critD/pen/dmg on crafted stuff.
    This has served me well for some time now with my Astika, Scimitar and Sarr Theln builds.

    the *Best* AP beams atm would be Dual beams with dmgx4 or dmgx3+pen if u have less then 17-19%critt chance on ur ship if u have more then 19% critt chance crtdx4 or crtdx3+pen are still the best choice

    acc and crit on weapons are still the worst mods for pve acc is kinda okish for pvp

    i dont know the reddit thread right now but someone there made some testing with numbers between dmg and crtd at the current stage of the game as i said depends on ur overhaul critt chance which moid is better for u

    Because I am not part of a fleet I tend to shoot for [CrtD]x2 [CrtH] when crafting DHCs for my Phantom escort. But I would also take [CrtD] [CrtH] [Pen].

    I use crafted ap weapons, with a mix of mod Crtd Dmg Pen, when upgraded I had a mix of crtdx2 dmg pen or crtd dmgx2 pen, and I can kill everything easily

    btw, when you craft your weapons, sell the weapons with crtdx2 pen, there are a lot of whales outside who will be happy to give you millions of ec :p and with this crappy upgrade system, you only have few luck to have the desired result.

    The single best Antiproton beams are [CritD]x3 [Over].

    Overload always crits, so having [CritD]x3 AND the innate Antiproton crit severity, you can smash anything that may be in your way.

    Over has always been a mod who's effectiveness is debated, but the one universally agreed upon ideal is that the single best mod for any Beam Weapon is [Pen.]

    Over only provides a 2.5% proc chance, there is debate over rather that is worth sacrificing something like an additional Crit multiplier that applies on every critical hit or Damage that applies to every single attack. There is no doubt that it's not worth trading for Pen.

    Over is grey area as far as mods go, but most people won't take [Over] in place of [CrtD] or [DmG] and wouldn't even consider taking it over [Pen.]

    Antiproton Beam Array Mk XIV [Ac/Dm] [CrtD]x3 [Pen]
    [Over] is not useful although some posts before it was told to be, same for [Acc], even in PvP you don't go [Acc] on Beams, only [CrtD] combined with overload
    If you don't have much ec, try fleet AP [Dmg]x3 [CrtD], since [Dmg] is a good mod, they might also deal acceptable DPS
    Take as many [Pen] mods as you can, they support any weapons (even the ones of your teammates)

    [Over] might not be useful in DPS-terms, but it's fun and a "nice to have" ability to end a fire cycle with FAW and burst a surviving ship with a salvo of free BOs, especially after stripping bigger targets of their shields.

    I don't mind AP beams but for the most part i ma switching back on my Feds to phasers.I ma liking it better.The same goes with my Klinks to disruptors.My Roms plasma disruptors.
