If we get it back the upgrades will probably be changed to massive rank increases with no quality improvement like the other "free" upgrades they've been giving out.
Players throwing dil at the gold dragon is good for Cryptic.
This is my Risian Corvette. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

Hi, I am hoping we could have the Omega Molecule Stabilization missions for the Anniversary Event next month.
I'm hoping for something which i can play without horrible latency. After several attempts i never bothered with that lagg infused game.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
I suspect it will be the Omega Molecule Stabilization missions, they were fun as well as profitable.
Not for Cryptic.
It's been 11 months since the last Omega molecule event. You don't think people blew through their stores in that time and went back to doing upgrades using their dilithium stores?
You sure it wasn't profitable Reyan? After they nearly killed the game with the poor choices and mismanagement that led to Delta Rising, I think the stabilization game may have curtailed some of their losses. Doing it again could be a help in terms of player retention and for some, feeling like they can purchase new ships for different builds without feeling like they are locked into a single build by the exorbitant upgrade cost.

you could say the same about most other cryptic events, apart from the few players who might spend lobi during the summer and winter events how do cryptic ever profit from the events where they don't in the anniversary event?
personally even the delta recruit event never tempted me to spend any money on the game above what I already have and I suspect this is true of many players.
summer, winter, anniversary, mirror and CCE are all very profitable for players but for the most part not very profitable for cryptic.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
I do love the events, all of them for many reasons, #2 in all of all events is seeing the people and their toons. Most everyone is original and unique.

the events sure are cool, only problem is with the summer, winter and anniversary lasting about 6 weeks each and then mirror & CCE about 3 weeks each thats a total of 24 weeks of events that only leaves about 28 weeks a year for actual gameplay.
throw in any extras like delta recruit or star trek 50th anniversary and its a wonder we ever get time to just play the game at all.
not that I have any problem with that BTW.

If this isn't already planned, it ain't happening. They can't/won't get this launched in a few weeks unless it was already on the docket....not enough time.
