After last fix i get killed from something when i run from cubes, example i am at 15 km from cubes and i just explode.log 88k kinetic damage recived????.
I see other player blow left and right and nobody knows what hit them??
Devs what did you doo again??,i really fear for this game when star citizen come out.
Too much dps and all is about gear ,skill meh maybe -10 percent.
I feel like Dr all over again, you have HP monsters who can kill you win one shoot, guys this is bad idea.
So if i need in advanced Qs all overpriced traits/powers,i think i pass.
I realize you are trying to gain more playerbase but guys this is not the right way,you want more playerbase add some skill into game, bring back pvp, build more planets.
Stop nerfing thing.nerfing allways ends bad.
After You lost 60 percent of playerbase with DR i think you are lost.I admit some things are better but this is just not good enuff.
You cant play with your player base hit and miss, you did that with Dr and it ended baaad.
I like new story but guys temporal war ???again??story is good but time travel again????.
Give guys from foundry new tools so they can create more quality content. One mission per month is not enuff to keep players in the game.
cheers.

Anyway, if you suddenly explode for no reason in game: Invisitorp. Even when there's no Borg around.

Scratch the paint only activates once every x seconds and i usually get pummeled by multiple core breeches.
It's the SAME dumb NPCs that sit there waiting for us to repeatedly slap them across the face.
The same invisitorps.
Seen that stuff enough to still sleepwalk through the stuff. Borg Red Alerts are the worst. The stuff is over so quick that people come in with 0/4 groups destroyed, a minute or two later, we're at 4/4.

Outside the invisitorps, the one thing that really kills a lot of people is, IMO, not being able to clear those Plasma DOTs. You let that run its course, you're in for a world of hurt.
You get hit by a torpedo spread which you can't see. If you could see it, though, you'd die just as well because the attack can't miss and cannot be avoided as long as you are within 10km range when it gets fired. If you exit the 10km of the cube when the ability has been fired already all you are doing is delaying the inevitable.
NPC torpedoes are hilariously powerful compared to the player versions. Terran cruisers will melt your shields with torpedo high yield and spread attacks while the player versions barely do anything as long as the target is shielded.

It really should prioritise the effects that will directly affect your ship over everything else, so any weapons fire coming your way should always be priority for it to render.
In my Sci ships I can generally shield tank due to my big shields (28k per facing). They do get drained but with good timing of healing I can usually keep it up long enough to take out my target. I can take up to 40% of all the hits in an ISA and survive if I am careful.
On my engineer, I usually hull tank. My Galaxy doesnt enjoy the same shield hit points as my science ships so I take advantage of its high hull and large heals. I can usually survive 75-95% of all the incoming hits in an ISA unless I make a mistake or get unlucky (like dying while eating a warp core breach in an attempt to get fleet support while aggro'ing everything around me).
For my escorts, I usually speed tank. Keeping myself moving keeps my defense up so I can avoid getting hit. On my pilot ships I also have the benefit of pilot maneuvers to help me live. My escorts are my least survivable ships.
I think in terms of NPC damage, the game is fine at advanced. The NPCs don't hit that hard at all. On my tanking runs I only register around 4k DPS from all the NPCs combined.

Warp Core Breeches, the Web Cannon that the Tholian Capital Ships shoot in the Red Alert, and these Torpedoes are especially nasty.
l don't know.
l really don't know what l'm about to say, except l have a feeling about it.
That l must repeat the words that come without my knowledge.'
Right on the ball...I got about 62.5% as reflected by steam charts. Then again people will say otherwise but steam is usually a mere representation of the whole playerbase. Probably the numbers are worse than that. No need to dwell further in this since the forums to some degree are deader than what it was pre DR too. Then again forums are the minority of the propulation but it should reflect back to consistent numbers. I remember these forums were full of people and just a mere reflection of what it was it was...still one is entitled to their own opinion but as for me that quoted number is right on the spot
Boredom. Been there done that too many times.
Really, nothing kills me, if I die, it's because an error I made, if I try I don't die. I tend to believe Borg stfs are pretty easy.
Sorry, but it's a little odd that you're blowing up right and left and in the same breath saying that the content does not require skill.
Obviously, this problem is not something everyone is having, you might want to simply re-evaluate your build or your tactics. Sure, we all have times where you get in a Tractor Beam between 2 Tactical Cubes and you take a bit of a beating, but no one should be regularly blowing up in Borg Red Alerts. They're just not that hard.
Some of us do enjoy the extra bit involved in staying alive the entire run. It's not about the rewards or anything else other than the personal satisfaction that you got all the objectives done, you contributed well to the team and you stayed alive. At least that's how it is for me.

The game isn't difficult but it does involve some skill to play well. If there were no skills involved then you wouldn't have bad teams. There would also not be a huge gulf between the top players and the extreme low-end. It's not all gear either since the best players will achieve more than other players here with the same/worse gear.
