Fellow kdf

I run a once very active pve channel called rex fashions and for the past year, a massive decline hampered alot of the activity and now it is nearly impossible to even get a 5 man mission going. When this channel first started up I quickly got up to about 30 players, in which we would run, breaking the planet, the big dig and starbase fleet defence all in one night while others also did stfs..... as it took off we gathered more and more members and it was going great..we did mine trap runs. (sadly been taken down) we did alot of space and ground pve...Pretty much a community and I even have a channel in a Teamspeak for it...

Sadly however population of star trek online took a decline, while that is a factor i've noticed a mentality among players of "it's dead Jim" While yes, pve queues are not what they used to be. People are complaining about having to run the same mission over and over and there are missions they're not even playing anymore due to lack of numbers, but when approached they already give up by not willing to spare the time to attempt to start a queue up...Of course you are going to get bored if all you are going to play is cca borg infected and counterpoint... mixing up all stfs and hell even some pvp... would help..

In saying that I am guilty of the same mindset as well at times, and I have some major issues with this game that id like sorted (kdf tailor for one broken for me since 2012) But lets at least try bring some life back into our play style... I welcome all kdf regardless of fleet to sign on up to rex fashions as well as other pve channels, this is not a self promotional post and i've no problem with other pve channels advertising as well below me and giving their thoughts on current events...

Starbase Fleet Defence needs 15 to start sounds hard right?? but im sure each day there is enough people online, in fleets, willing to partake as well as the armada fleets they're allied with. As too which pve channels are great for this, please think of pve channels as not only a great place to get missions runned but another way of socialising and sharing builds.

I hope to hear from other Kdf pve channels attempt to garner more interest as well.

wish everyone the best

rex.

Sounds like fun, though I admit when I first read "rex fashion" I thought like runway models and I heard this in my head...

PVE queues are alive. Not all of them are active every second of the day, but I pug all the time for stuff, so it can't be dead.

It's a little anemic but it's far from dead.

"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

It sounds like you stopped recruiting new members.

People get burned out and leave the game all the time. Some eventually come back, some don't. New people arrive. It's the circle of life, it feels like DOOOM to you because you ignored the new people.

Yes, never stop recruiting until you're full.

I'm thinking it demonstrates an overall decline in Steam usage, because Steam sucks.

Oh, I strongly disagree. One could honestly say that there are too many TRIBBLE games sold on Steam these days. And also that Valve doesn't police as tightly as they should the behavior of the game companies selling on Steam.

    But Steam doesn't "suck".

Only valid if the percentage using Steam is constant instead of declining. If 99% of new players use Arc when it used to be (say) 75% then the numbers are worthless.
