The Winged Defender was used in other games, like Armada 2 and Legacy. Legal issues will come into play, just like with ships such as the Achilles from Dominion Wars.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I believe that that ship was created by FASA back in the day.
I still have one of those in pewter from my tabletop gaming days (1980's).
It's called a Winged Defender.
There were two different styles and when one glued it together, the wings could be placed in assorted fixed angles.
I never ended up gluing the wings to my ship, the fitting was so tight that I could gently pry them off and press them back in to change the angle.

A bit to much Kahlua and Xmas Eve celebrating, seems to have heightened my Derp Factor.
I got reminiscing about those fun times and apparently 'missed the star freighter' when reading the OP.

edit:
plus technically the Winged Defender is Wrath of Khan era, and thus a semi-antique like the excelsior
