A Queue Suggestion

Quite simply, rotate them periodically.

At the moment, we have a whooping 27 different runs that have various levels of difficulty, and then a further 12 that are stand alone, and it's obvious that some are played more than others, for various reasons I'm sure. What I'd like to propose is that the number of queue events be reduced, and then randomly rotated every three months or something. Extend the rewards on some of them so that different marks can be acquired though different events (within reason). Such an example would be to include Delta Marks in Omega Runs (we're fighting the Borg, who are from the Delta Quadrant).

I suppose the Fleet Actions can stay, cause they don't reward marks, but the queued content that does, I feel, could do with being a little less. This might just enforce more people to get involved with the others when their favourite one isn't available, as there's a lot of queues that just aren't at their full potential. Furthermore, every three months, tweak the win conditions or content within the queues, keeping them fresh, and also keeping us on our toes.

@the Community: Would I be alone in such a suggestion? Is this a good idea, or an unfavourable one?

This would definitely make people queue them up and play them more, whereas nowadays queues to some of them are practicly dead. They could rotate weekly, or they could rotate with weekend events as well - it would help even if they were 're-featured' for 2-3 days at weekend since this is the time when most of people can actually play and queue up.

Very sensible idea, I like it.

Hourly rotational events like they used to do, would be far more successful. Still don't know why they replaced them for the 'special' weekends.

I miss the old hourly events they were fun for sure, i think the problem now though is theres too much content to squish in there

No thanks, being able to choose which queues to run is a positive thing.

However rotating periods of double rewards for certain queues would satisfy both camps in this argument.

I thought the same a while ago. An hourly or four hour rotation of enough queues that any specific mark could be obtained, but only from one source (or maybe one ground/one space). Especially when they have gotten around to sprucing up all the queues, it would be more interesting than just grinding khitomer vortex over and over because it fired mot regularly.

I'd also favor some limitation on access to difficulty, like if you have run a mission on elite you cannot queue it on normal any more or something, so that there are fewer divisions that people have to choose from.

Of course, all the queues would be available as private for teams, the restrictioned selection would only be for PUGs.

This would literally never work as you intend it, and would end up being literally the worst thing ever.

So it would literally be worse than atomic warfare or Adolf Hitler? (I tease your use of hyperbole ;p )

You're right that that execution would probably not work all that well, but the point of there being too many divisions of choice and a need to streamline selection of alternatives stands.

Bring back the hourlies, sez I. I'm tired of running the same STFs for the same rewards--particularly since I no longer need the rewards. I can create more Omega and MACO items than I have ships on which to put them. Why bother?

That's easy. OTHER PEOPLE may need the rewards.
