Best pick out of the andorian ships / [acc] mod

Hey all, I have finally levelled a tactical andorian and I'm considering buying one of andorian escorts for her. I only really want one so which is considered the "best" out of the three in the current meta?

And I assume they can be upgraded to t5u?

My other question is, is the [acc] mod worth anything these days? The second reason I want an andorian ship is for the blue phasers but at fleet level they only come in [DMG]x3 [acc] and [acc]x2 [DMG]x2 flavours.

I don't care if they're not optimal but I don't want to be massively disadvantaged either. I'm thinking [DMG]x3 would be the way to go.

Unless they get better mods on upgrading? I could get standard ones and hope the rng gods are kind.

    I personally like the charal t5u with the dmgx3 fleet andorian DHC's and wing cannons. If you can afford the bundle, I'd definitely consider it. The console for wing cannon overload from the kumari is a lot of fun if you like big max one hits :)

    Generally wait for a sale, pretty sure we'll see one in the not too distant future. Additional to the reduced prices they also threw in a free upgrade token per ship in past sales, so better safe than sorry I'd say.

    As for the ship I think the Charal is the best at T5u. There it has an 5tac/4engi/2sci console layout and unlike the Kumari it isn't crippled with that 3rd tac ensign slot. And the Khyzon is pretty pointless imho since it just can't make use of that 4 sci consoles with lt. being it's highest rank sci seat.

    As for the weapon mods, ACC isn't worth anything these days. Since it's revamp DMG is one of the best mods a weapon can have so defenitely go for the x3 variants.

    I upgraded the Charal. Best one of the lot for a more flexible use.

    Yeah, we should be having a sale here any day now for Christmas. You can probably get a pretty good deal.

    As for the weapon mod [ACC] is currently considered one of, if not the very worst of all mods. Damage however, is now a desirable mod, so the DMGx3 variant are actually pretty good. Yeah, you have the wasted mod for the ACC but they're still very effective weapons. They'll serve you quite well.

    Yes, for PVE.. ACC has never been a good mod.

    Firstly, there is the fact that you hardly ever miss in PVE even without the mod making it useless there.

    It is possible to get Accuracy high enough that it starts upping your critical chance which sounds good.. but the problem is that it doesn't work with Beam skill like Fire at Will or Overload. So anytime you're under FAW, the ACC mod is doing literally nothing.

    Pretty much every other mod has at least some use, even if it's minimal. ACC is almost entirely useless.

    It's decent for cannon builds with CSV and if the OP wants to use DHC then the [acc] is not wasted.​​
    This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

    Personally I found the Khyzon to be the best balanced, the charal was meh and the Kumari a complete glass cannon.

    Hey I like my glass cannon lol! It sits right next to my s' golth chocolate teapot :)
    Oddly enough once kemocite and frontal assault came out I fell in love even more with the kumari.
    I did buy the bundle and originally set it out with fleet level andorian phasers.
    I loved how it looked at the time but many moons down the road I ended up ditching the andorian phasers in favour of superior critD variants. I didnt want to really, and I kept the wing cannons and overload console but I could not ignore the difference the change in mods made.
    Something that irks me slightly are the wing cannons, only purple quality and not upgradeable? I never got that, if theyr powerful enough for us not to be able to upgrade them then just give them a gold border. I always thought that as we could upgrade the quad cannons why not these?
    And it is pie in the sky and merely me thinking aloud but if only this ship line had pilot manouvers, but thats maybe just a dream I developed as a result of flying the afformentioned glass cannon :D

    Is scatter volley better than rapid fire? I am planning on going full cannon build but I did consider going dual beam bank if it doesn't work out.

    Have to admit my cannon play is a little out of date. I'm not sure what's better for general STF play.

    At the moment I'm in an unupgraded t5 Defiant. It does OK but no where near as effective as my main.
