I propose a Dominion space revamp

Since the Dominion have been in the game since 2010, I say it's time for a revamp much like undine got in season 1: The Dominion should use Blue Phased Polaron beams with Polaron Torps 2: they should have a model upgrade to modern enemy standards 3: more exotic powers

I propose they limit the number of posts someone can make in their own thread based on how many people have responded.

I also propose that they work on social hubs like DS9 and First City before they rework the Dominion.

DS9 revamp is on its way. Probably be out before the season is over. As for first city? I would rather they just have everything on the spacedock too. That way I don't have to constantly change maps.

As much as my favorite series is DS9, I too can't see them revamping Dominion. Simply there's no time. Summer is the new trek film. Autumn is the 50 year anniversary. And next winter will be all about the new series. The whole next year will be about Kirk, Spock (#LLAP) and Bones. Probably with flagship releases and missions with hero captains.

Where could they ramp up Dominion?

I love your enthusiasm for the Dominion OP, really i do... but I think the best thing that could happen, is that STO doesn't touch them anymore... as I think the direction the game has taken in the past few years shows they could never do it justice, sorry to say

They will probably do something big with the dominion soon (maybe in the next expansion), so they probably won't do small updates for the sake of it.

They may give them Dominion Polaron one day but don't quite see themmaking a unique torp just for them I don't see them doing except maybe as a item on the Battlecruiser. (Like the Tholian ships come with a Thermionic Torp or the Voth Dreadnought)

They do the revamps when they are doing mission/story content that involves that type of NPC/faction. So if the next expansion is Gamma focused as many speculate, that will probably happen.

Giving the Dominion the Dominion Polaron weapons would be a better idea. Might mean more types including Dual Heavy Cannons and Dual Beam Banks eventually. But if you want them to have Phased Polaron, you're going to have to settle for switching to basically purple phasers as the in game Phased Polaron is purple and look like phasers when fired.

But it wouldn't be the first time an NPC group has used a lockbox weapon. The Hirogen use Destabilizing Tetryon, the Voth use their own Antiproton, the Undine use their own Antiproton, and the Heralds use their own Antiproton. So switching the Dominion from standard Polaron to Phased Polaron should be doable.

It will just be purple.

They should use blue Dominion Polaron.

I don't think we've had blue polaron anything. All polaron is either purple or yellow for the Thoron infused. I think Protonic is still purple.

The dominion polaron weapons from the missions are blueish. If I remember, protonic is faded a bit, I want to say it's indego-ish, but I can't remember.

No... they're not blue at all. They're a lighter shade of purple.

Dominion Polaron is different because it's wavy like the Dominion beams in the TV show.

Protonic is surrounded by sparkles.
