Suggestions for Cryptic.

Hello, Cryptic. I’ve been playing STO for 3 years now and I still love the game. I would like to propose some suggestions for the game. Do whatever you wish with them.

1. Choosable music for the Disco bomb: The current one is getting old and annoying. Let either the server or said player choose a random startrek tune from a short list. Lets say 5 Fed and 5 Klink based tunes.

2. Universal slots of Kit frames totally universal: Certain kit frames have an universal slot. Make those totally universal so that we can slot 1 non-career skill aka the 2 careers your toon doesn’t have. Exsample: A Science toon can slot a Tactical or Engineering skill but that skill only has its base stats. We have universal skills like the Gravimetric Traps so why not for the Kit frames themselves.

3. Patrol missions on CD: The patrol missions you only can do once per star system, per toon. Put all of them on a CD for lets say 30 to 60 minutes. This is the same like with the Tau Dewa and DQ patrols (30 minutes CD). This gives us more normal content and as a partial substitute for the removed Exploration clusters.

4. Standard uniform’s for Romulan Embassy Bof’s: The Embassy bof’s have limited choices for outfits but add the possibility for the standard uniforms like the Fed. Oddy uniform. Makes it more authentic since its like an “Officer exchange program”.

5. Tailor choices: The options for outfits is limited based on situations. Loosen them up a bit and allow mixed outfits as long its faction based. But keep restrictions like Risa swimwear intact.

6. 3 Weapon slots for ground for toons: Currently you can slot 2 ground weapons for your toon. Add a third slot for a melee weapon only so we have more variety of active choices. Handy when fighting the Borg for exsample.

7. Repeatable First Contact mission: When you reach T3 in Diplomacy doff tree you get a First Contact mission you only can do one time per toon. Give it a CD of a few days. Adds more Trek flavor for those.

8. Dili cap limit: The current dilithium cap is too low knowing the current requirements for too many things. Increase the daily limit to 12000 to compensate.

    Point 2: no, I wouldn't like this.

    Access to different kind of modules on the ground is about the only reason to have characters of a different career than tac. Making everything universal would almost completely remove any incentive people might have to create Science or Engineering characters.

    The entire forum could agree on this, and it would not matter. There was once a 600 page thread on changing the t5 Galaxy and Gal-X, and when they finally did, it was basically nothing and did none of the changes that were asked for, basically they ignored the entire thread.

    You want to increase the base refining limit by 50%. Do you want to kill the F2P Dil- Zen market!? With-in a couple of weeks of that happening you will see 400 Dil - 1 Zen easy! On top of that you'll then complain about having to work more for less because of it and that they need to increase the cap again! The level of 8000 has been as it was for a long time and keeps the exchange rate from spiralling out of control! I don't often say something like this, but this is a stupid, stupid suggestion!

    The Exchange has already gone wild with the increase, the Dil exchange is getting there.

    This would take it beyond gone wild. But then if no one would buy for a week we would see prices drop some.

    If you're referring to the old Fed patrols that are oneshots... I'd love that.

    Wouldn't make sense for them to wear Fed uniforms IMO. Better to give them access to the Romulan Republic and Romulan Allied uniforms.

    I don't understand what you're talking about. Are you referring to armor costume unlocks or what?

    Not really necessary as ALL weapons technically have a melee attack. Also... it means you have to decide what gear to take with you.
