before i decide what build i will be going with .i was wondering is there any where i can put skill points to make the romulan singularity core ability's better or stronger? thank you guys for your answers
Well, I do believe some captain skills do in fact boost their performance, outside of that it comes down the core and any other form of device/console/doffs/etc., to have any real effect on them!
Do you mean which skills in your skill tree are good pics to enhance your ship's power sources/allocations?
If so, there are a lot of guides on the internet just for that. Just do a google search on the kind of build you're looking at. For example, if you wanted to be a Tactical Officer who flies a Faeht Intel Warbird, just do a google search on that. The results would look like this:
If the ship is in the game, someone has posted a build for it, on any possible number of websites. Just hunt and pick what you like. Fun is far more important that vaporizing baddies in two point five seconds or less. Rock and roll homes. Play Loud and Proud!
I don't know off the top of my head, but if you park your ship somewhere and hit P to bring up the powers menu, clicking on an ability will say whether any captain skills affect it. Of course, in-game documentation is sometimes a bit dodgy or outdated, but that's probably your best bet for a quick answer.
IIRC the plasma shockwave is exotic damage, thus part gen. I think the singularity jump is like grav well in that it's pull is decided by gravgen and damage by part gen. Not sure about the others. The decoy skill might use stealth and whatever the stat is for sensor jamming.

Because, outside of battle cloaks & use of a singularity core, the ships themselves don't really have what can be defined, as a space ability!
