Romulan Fed ship use

I'm told that Fed characters can't use Romulan ships. Do the Romulan storyline missions still stop around level 40? Romulans can then get Fed missions I think. Can Romulans command Fed ships? Thanks

Romulans can command Fed ships up to, I think, T4. T5 ships are off limits.

So Romulans can fly Fed ships below tier 4? How do they play higher level missions? Do Romulans have T4-6 ships? How do they compare with Fed ships of those tiers?

Romulans join either the federation of the klingons at level 10 (after a mission), and have access to all their ships from t4 and below

Romulans have a full set of ships from teir 1 to tier 6, though they lack a lot of science ships (i think they only have like 3 science ships, 2 of which are t5)

generally, romulan ships are considered the most overpowered by far, thanks to a combination of romulan Boffs having teh chance to 2 space traits that are very powerful, AND nearly all rom ships have a battle Cloak, and usually have a secondary tac of sci focus to them as well, AND all rom ships use a special warp core called a singularity core (They cannot use the normal warp core items at all and have to use singularity cores) that gives them specal abilites like creating a mini-gravity well or creating shadow clones, or powering up all weapons.

Also, Romulans have access to the Scimitar Zen store ship, which is considered to be one of the best, if not THE best ship in the game.

One downside to Romulan ships is that singularity cores put out 160 total power instead of 200 from a regular warp core, before ship/skill/gear bonuses. But there are ways to cover for that, especially if you play an engineer character, and the benefits are worth the trade.

Sounds like an enthusiastic endorsement. I would imagine Romulan ship parts are sold on the exchange. Where do Fed Romulans go to get new Romulan ships and training? Can they use the shipyard and skill trainers at ESD? Sounds like going Romulan Fed is a very versatile choice. Thanks

Romulan ships use the same stuff as a fed or kink ship except for the warp core, and for a rom, every mission that would normally give a warp core, gives a singularity core to them. so you get teh stuff the same way.

The romulans (no matter the faction allied with) get access to the New Romulus Command center (you get there as part of the story), but as the Romulan faction is not a full faction, neither is their base a full base. When you get a new rank, you have to go to the command center, and you can access the shipyard and all of that from their too, but outside of ranking up, earth spacedock (or First city for the klingons) generally has access to a a lot more things, though for shipyards, it does not matter

Also, Command center has Plasma space and ground weapons, while spacedock has Phaser, so there is that as well.
