From most angles it's pretty cool. But I think they totally dropped the ball on the profile. From the side it looks like an oddly inflated football. Sometimes even reminds me of a parrot fish.
And to beat a dead horse, STILL hoping for a second hangar pet to complement the existing frigate (like the two-pet setup for the Jem'hadar Dreadnought).

We've just received word from the fleet, they've engaged the Borg!
Norway and Yeager dammit... I still want my Typhoon and Jupiter though.
JJ Trek The Kelvin Timeline is just Trek and it's fully canon... get over it. But I still prefer TAR.

What I hate is the performance of it's Frigate Pets.
This! So frustrating when the pets dont cooperate. It would be nice if they at least pretended to listen to orders.
Seriously though, I'm in total agreement. Pet AI is #1 on my list of things that need fixing. The only thing going for these is they have scratch the paint, so they die slightly less quickly.
As to the original topic, I'll admit, I was a hardline Alpha supporter. But I'll admit, the Jupiter has really grown on me. I actually like it now and have fun flying it.
I get kind of ok performance out of the Plesh Brek Raiders.. sort of.
They still won't touch my Elite Swarmers, but they vastly outperform Callisto's. I think Callisto Frigates are the weakest hangar unit in the game just because their AI is abysmal.
I put 2 Hangars of Elite Swarmers on my Jupiter and the difference was pretty drastic. I realize that Fighters should out DPS frigates but I'm pretty sure it's not supposed to be by that wide of a margin. They're night and day.
Sorry, for many Yankees, the word "football" with no other qualifier usually refers to American Football, which is a Rugby derivative, not Association Football, which we call "Soccer".
My "U.S.S. Shamu" has grown on me allot.
My fleetmates and I are all selecting whale related names for this vessel.

“The first question was obvious. What does Starfleet even need a carrier for? Is it for long range multi-system exploration? Catastrophic emergency relief where scores of people and equipment need to be moved ASAP? All those possible use questions/ scenarios were really helpful to determine the design of the ship.”
Based on the rounded bottom, flattened midsection, and long tank/blisters, the carrier was designed to float on water. If the theory of the Feds needing a carrier to help in setting up colonies or mass evacs, it would be much easier if the carrier was able to launch/recover shuttles from a nearby body of water than having to relay them back and forth into space hauling people and equipment. And that crescent white spot in the front? Sonar.
That’s how I’m justifying it at least
I was also hoping that the Fleet version would have unlocked some alternate customization options, I share the disappointment that there aren't even a few basic variations. It would have been cool if they provided at least a few alternate looks for the nacelles.
