I am not sure that it works together with torpedo buffs.
I definitely saw them working when I used no buffs, but when it's torpedoes everywhere, I couldn't make out the effect. But I didn't bother to check the combat log. (Or rather, the one time I did and saw them I don't remember now anymore if I used a buff beforehand or not).
It's an interesting idea for a buff that would help torpedo boats if it works well. Otherwise only Kemocite is an ability that helps all the torpedo launchers you're equipped with.

I haven't found it as useful as I expected. Because the secondary torpedo is fired after the first one hits I often don't get one because by that time the enemy is no longer in the firing arc.
Thanks guys. I don't think it is really worthy as a 3-piece bonus. It also forces you to take the Terran torp for the set, which isn't particularly good . Pretty junk set really.
I wish the Withering Radiation did a bit more damage but overall it's a decent weapon, I use the 2 piece set on my Torp ship I've been playing with recently.
Having the set bonus with the Withering Photon is nice...I considered using the Bio Photon but most things will be dead before that radiation even pops.

The less hull the target has, the more damage the torpedo will do, far from being called "junk".
It's giving the Artimage especially even more firepower than it should. TS3 with Photons followed by the extra torpedoes from the 3 piece AND the Torpedo Point Defense System.

Yeah, I noticed the firing arc problem, too. But so far I have only used it on an Escort, which tends to be very mobile. Maybe it will work better with my Science Vessels. But I have to first advance the reputations on those characters.

Launching ONE torpedo on a target after a salvo hits is meh.... Tribble was bugged to over-powered levels, but this is underwhelming to the point where I don't hit the button.
It just seems pretty meh to me to be honest. After a full spread or HY hits there's not going to be much benefit a single basic torp can give. It'll either bounce off shields like the rest of the volley did or maybe give a small bit of extra damage, assuming the target's not already dead from the initial volley.
And with a 2 min recharge you'd be better off just stacking purple projectile doffs and speeding up your fire rate.
The part where it says no enhancements really puts this into the dark corner of "lol no" sts.
It should be a permanent effect that mimics the torp power you used and fires the torps again. Could have an inbuild cooldown.
For example:
Ts3 gets an isntant recast and firing, then the passive goes to lockout for 30 seconds or so.
Basically a torp variant of Superweapon ingenuity. But with less suck.

It does, although I think it should not be buffed by TS.

I knew using Kinetics would be playing the game on hard mode, but what I didn't realize was how bad the deck is stacked against Kinetics.
