Also: Campaign XP. That's not a "nerf" to your specialization/captian XP, it only slows down progression through the Admirality campaigns. It is somewhat of a nerf, that's true, but please use the correct terms.

What is the problem again? 10k instead of 14k. Add one or two 15 minute missions and you have a lot more.
To be honest, it was inevitable that it was scaled down eventually. On one of my alts i only set doff assignments and admiralty and haul in 2-3 points each day. Why even play the game when you get such rewards for doffing and admiralty?
Something else, the idiot squad should stop screaming wolf nerf all the time. Adjustments are a necessity and more than 90% of what people refer to as a nerf is actually a bug fix.

Always had glasses on this avatar. After the change it is displayed sharper though.
Going back to the OP
Admiralty:
The maximum amount of Campaign XP a player may earn within a 20 hour period (daily) has been adjusted to 10,000 per Campaign.
This amount includes the Daily Campaign XP Bonus.
All other Admiralty rewards remain unaffected by this change, and can continue to be earned after the 10,000 Campaign XP is reached.
The change is made to campaign XP, not even the regular XP, so the outrage is even more absurd.

wow so offensive
why u so bm?
I could consider Boo-ing offensive.
My comments are neither hostile nor offensive, but they do make it clear that the ridiculous attitude of calling 'nerf" has got to stop.

You do make a good point, which the fact you've pointed out is what people seem to over look. The fact that it's the campaign progression that's being slowed down and nothing else (at least for now). Secondly it's a new system and it has been plagued with a few bugs such as the tour of duty assignments not spawning and what not. So yeah some tweaking to the system was inevitable at some point, I don't know why people would expect anything different, it's the way of things in almost every MMo I've played. It's just a matter of degrees of severity of how much they alter things.
On the flip side I don't see why this is really necessary, those of us that have the ships and time available have no doubt all ready maxed the two campaigns tracks on at least one character if not more if they have alts. Now if Cryptic are indeed planning on introducing additional campaign tracks then I can understand this change.
And a friendly note to the OP : The forum search function is your friend, make good use of it.
Inconsequential nerf. The rewards that matter are being left untouched. You'll still get the same amount of spec xp, dilithium, EC, etc etc. Just means you have to click buttons a little longer if you want the level 10 ship doffs and purple rocks.
I've already maxed it out on five characters, one of which only has 20 something ships. It isn't exactly hard, and still won't be going forward.
bad manners? you got a nose, see that corner, put that in corner and say nothing until you are told.
dont forget, ship maintaince take longer, nearly a day wait, as others said, having +20 ships is more benifical, since you need to get 1/10-10/10 unlocked for prestige admirality ships, and save up those expendable +1 time used ships for other missions.
Well, they had some reason to do this. Another thing is whether it can be properly justified. Once more, Few people had some benefits from the original cap, now everyone will be denied any chance to get those benefits. I am more concerned by the hidden changes and "improvements" that actually do not work. To name a few recent failed fixes:
- ships can still become invisible after transition or respawn
- ships touching starbase shields still get sent back to spawn point in the Badlands Battlezone
- overflow bag! (someone problably insists that it should never work properly)
- DOff missions for collecting materials and minerals may or may not appear on your list
etc.
And let's stay civil when communication with each other, thank you.
Now if Cryptic are indeed planning on introducing additional campaign tracks then I can understand this change.
That's more or less a given. I won't go so far as to say it's confirmed (just because I don't have a quote on hand) but it would be fantastically atypical of cryptic to develop something like Admiralty and stop with two modular campaigns representing only the KDF and FED, especially when it provides more incentives to one of the game's primary sources of income (ship sales).

I think it can go without saying but, it stands to reason that if there's a KDF and FED campaign there will be a Romulan campaign, I'm betting we're gonna see that by or for the Anniversary.

So very true.
Kids these days... they hear/see someone say something, then they repeat it thinking it sounds like the right thing to say.
Or someone they think is cool or clever says something, and they repeat the phrase or word... usually in situations that it doesn't really apply because it was actually originally said in a way that completely misinterpreted something.
Popular misunderstandings and misuses: "nerf", "white knight".

Oh indeed. When someone accuses me of 'White Knight' I take it as a compliment. Seeing as I'm English, have manners, give respect where it's due, be able to see the good in the right things and an uncanny knack of not kicking off over an adjustment, it's pretty apt! lol.

Instead of the "BOOOO why nerv exp AGAIN?" title one could ask why a specific change was made.
Something like: What is the reasoning behind campaign XP changes?" It's not difficult to see the difference.

Maybe I'm getting old, but when i see a title such as the one made by the OP i have an urge to facepalm.

I am okay with this. I had a level 56 Alt that hit 60 in a week. It was paying out too quickly imo. There's no purpose to me doing anything on my alts but use the admirality system, so this is a good thing and a good incentive to play the game outside of one system.

My sincere apologies for not having noticed/realized that i crossed into a parallel universe where a title with "BOOOO" is a sign of maturity and significant intellect.

I have to agree with quest.
Campaign XP is seperate from player XP and this patch has no effect on player XP. This might be considered a nerf for people who have a crapton of ships, thus pretty much one of each ship card to play with. For the average player, there is no difference whatsoever as they may not have that many ships and won't really hit the cap.

I have a TRIBBLE ton of ships and this adjustment does not bother me at all. I can still gain 2 captain spec points just off the system every week per toon with out having to pew pew.

Really ? I'll pop lvl 59 on my newest toon this week and I haven't played thru the wasteland arc yet, haven't past lvl 3 admirality yet, or even assigned my captains skill points yet, but the idiot squad always seems to attack the posters who claim the game progression is too slow.
