Does the ''Insurrection'' Enterprise E have a plain white color scheme as in ''First Contact'', or is it more of a greyish style color?

Well... the Ent-E didn't really get a refit until sometime between Insurrection and Nemesis... so... hm... not really sure. Lighting between First Contact and Insurrection may have been a factor...
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I think it was the same color scheme. Depending on the views of the ship in the light.
Acutally it did get a minor refit between the 3 movies. Specially for the 3rd movie. They moved the nacelle pylons forward some. Added more phaser banks on the rear of the ship. New placements was on the nacelle pylons. Added hull to the back of the saucer for a nicer transition. Also the Bridge module got upgraded too. I used to draw the ships during school. And when Nemesis came out, I had to update my drawings.

I don't think any of the Enterprises after TOS were just 'plain white'. They all had some pretty involved patterning. It's just the shooting of the models makes them look like they are a single color. Anyone who bought the 1701-D model kit and saw the instruction booklet for painting it, knows it wasn't one solid color!

They don't have those new phaser strips on the STO model right? I swore last time I played a Assault Cruiser beams were clipping through the nacelles, which always bothered me.

I've got the eaglemoss 1701-D on my desk, it's different shades of grey with the aztecing
"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

Starfleet ships, especially the "hero ships" since TOS have had complicated "Aztec" patterns on it. This was true with the Constitution-Refit Enterprise/Enterprise-A. This continued on with the Enterprise-D and even -E.
The Sovereign-class Enterprise-E however holds the distinction of having 3 different looks for the same class without a big change like the Constitution-class did with her refit. Two of the looks for a canon Sovereign I personally refer to in the following ways: First Contact and Nemesis versions are huge contrasting appearances. Insurrection however came out in between the two movies and it has a look that looking back, is an "in between" of the two looks and IMO. First Contact's is bright and bold. Nemesis' was darker but a complicated and very detailed appearance. Insurrection's was very subdued with a much more even, overall medium grey appearance.
First Contact is the first time the Sovereign-class has been shown. That is the image of the clean, near-white with a bit of black trim. It does have small patterns noticeable when you get closer to the ship. FYI, First Contact was the last Star Trek production with physical models. This page has good screencaps of the First Contact Enterprise-E.
Nemesis, the last of the TNG-crew movies, has the final version of a canon Sovereign-class. It's a definitely darker grey, blue-gray scheme with a highly complicated pattern that I'd never try to paint on a physical model without the use of stencils. Unfortunately, finding good, clear, HD shots of the Nemesis version is very hard to come by. The lack of quality shots of this version of the ship off the movie is frustrating. It almost makes me want to get the movie to make screencaps of the ship.
Edit: I want to toss in mention of my old "A T6 Sovereign Request" thread that a bunch of guys have commented in. Anyways, my OP in that thread goes into some details for the canon appearances of the Sovereign-class.
Depended on lighting, but even the First Contact Enterprise didn't have a plain white hull..
good example of the Sovereign's aztecing

It depends what the T6 looks like, but if I don't like any part of it then I would probably go with the full Sovereign Class parts and use the Type 7 material with Type 5 windows.

Neither was the TOS Enterprise white. I suggest you take a good look at the correctly restored Enterprise at the NASM. It is actually an over all greenish grey with many other colors on it. The white is an artfact of the lighting of the day and the matte process.

the only difference between FC's and I's Enterprise was the transition from an actual studio-model to full CGI. Visually, there was no real difference as the CGI-model was basically the digitized studio-model.
For ST:Nemesis however, the Enterprise-E was from Insurrection was discarded and digitally rebuilt from scratch, as a new effects-company was hired.

Why the $%/# is someone bumping a thread from 11 months ago?
Cut the ****.
Who died and made you hall monitor? Don't read it if you don't like it. If they're serious about necro threads, they'll set the board to lock threads after 30 days inactivity.

Threads on these forums don't auto-lock after a period of time, there is no safety lock to keep people from breaking the anti-necro rule. The notion that rule violations aren't taken seriously is absurd, friend.
I wondered how long it would take to get all the zombie and necromancer comments.
If we can't get them to have separate Forums for the Consoles (you know like the Tabs), they are not going to do Forum scripts that notes the last post date, adds 31, and if less than today, close Thread.

Almost.
Ex-Astris has a nice, small page on the 3 different Sovereign-class depictions. Unfortunately the pics aren't HD/large.

Okay, so with the new textures for the Sovereign: What should I go for?
First Contact: Type 6 with the secondary color being a tiny bit darker
Insurrection: Type1, just plain grey
Nemesis: Type 5 with the secondary color being dark (012, 013)
Feel free to leave suggestions! I've just made up these out of pics of the E
