Any good reason why cold DR, does squat against snowmen/bosses?

I noticed that according to the combat log, our DR does squat for us, and the enemy snowmen/bosses have an actual DR themselves, not that the snowmen don't go down easy enough, but still a DR!!!

Also, when changing zones, you need re-apply the winter tribble buff, for your cold DR to be calculated correctly again, not that it's doing any actual good anyways.

This makes me wonder, if the knock back and repel even work from the tribble, or for that matter any knock back and repel!!!
