Structural Integrity Field Siphon console not included on Fleet issued Eclipse cruiser?

Just bought my Fleet Eclipse about a week ago and just now noticed that no Structural Integrity Field Siphon console came with it.
Was it possibly traded out for the higher hit points not included in the c-store version?

Fleet ships don't get consoles or starship traits. Note the console isn't listed in the stats at the ship vendor. The console and trait are sold via the store.

If it helps, the console isn't very good.

You don't get any consoles with fleet ships, never have. Also note: T6 fleet ships have no T5 mastery trait.

Yes, the whole idea with fleet ships is that you're encouraged to buy the C-Store version (which gets the console and, at T6, a starship trait, and is available to all your characters of that faction), then with the discount (sorry KDF) you buy the Fleet ship for an add'l $5 to get the stronger hull and shields and the extra console slot for the characters you really want the best for. Of course, for those folks who don't care about consoles or having the same ship on multiple characters, just buying the fleet ship for $20-25 represents a small discount over the C-Store ship + Fleet.

Wheeee...this again. At least the OP isn't foaming at the mouth and accusing cryptic of bait and switch nonsense.

Reading...it's OP. Remember that you get what they say you get when you buy it. If it's not on the list of items...don't expect for it to come with it.

Nope, no mouth-foaming. Just a question. Makes sense that a ship you don't pay RL money for wouldn't have 100% of the perks. Thing runs fine and is making it possible for me to do missions I couldn't complete in a T5. I'm happy with it.

For those that were upset with my question.....well, I don't care. :)

Honestly, don't have an issue with a question. Asking is a good thing. I think people are getting burned out however because of other people not you instead of asking would go off the rails because they just assumed without reading and somehow it's everyone else's fault and not their own. I think you did well in your first post...even if my reply was a bit flippant (but that's just me).

Fuggettabouddit! My thinking was the aforementioned trade-off on the hull strength. Fleet version seems to have more oomph!

It does seem like Cryptic could make this a bit clearer, for those who just skim and who never read the forums until it's too late. Something at the TOP of the ship description like:

Note: fleet ships DO NOT include the ship console or mastery trait from the C-Store version.

If that was line 1 of the description in ship & shuttle requisitions I'd be all for putting the boot in to anyone who starts a thread about them being missing :)

Sigh yet another person who didnt read what comes with a Fleet ship and Waht comes with a C-store one. Sorry if you don't take the time to read the over view or specs you have only yourself to blame.

One simple rule, to rule them all at the Shipyard Vendor:

If the Ship has a Zen cost or a Zen Symbol with zero cost, IT HAS A CONSOLE and for T6 Ships IT HAS A T5 MASTERY.

If the cost is expressed in ANY OTHER CURRENCY, IT HAS NEITHER.

What T6 Event Ships are at the Shipyard Vendor? They are available from the Event Reputation Store (only).

The Vet / LTS T5 tac ships include a console, and the T6s include both console and mastery. So they go on the exception list too. But anyway, Cryptic would be doing a favor to people if they'd highlight the lack of both in Fleet versions more clearly.
  • ltminnsltminns Member Posts: 12,572 Arc User
You don't pay for the Veteran/LTS Ship per se but they are an exception and would not be the subject of 'Rage' Posts, that 'I was dun cheated by those slick folks at that darned Cryptic'. ;)

The fleet version of the vet ship still needs the module and FC but it doesn't come with the console or trait either.

Mandatory Reading Quiz over Fleet vs C-Store ships when?
  • rimmarierimmarie Member Posts: 418 Arc User
    this again?!

It hasn't even been a week.
    Really people.

Maybe They DO need to add a pop-up with a loud alarm and hyperionx09's disclaimer:
They should put a massive disclaimer in all caps, that basically says:

    DISCLAIMER:
    - FLEET SHIPS DO NOT COME WITH A 5TH MASTERY TRAIT, DO NOT HAVE A UNIQUE CONSOLE, AND DO NOT HAVE FREE ACCESS TO RELATED C-STORE SHIP SKINS YOU HAVE NOT PURCHASED.
    - FLEET SHIPS ARE SINGLE-CHARACTER UNLOCKS. YOU WILL HAVE TO PAY THE SAME PRICE AGAIN SHOULD YOU DISCHARGE A FLEET SHIP.
    - PURCHASING A FLEET SHIP ON ONE CHARACTER DOES NOT DISCOUNT FLEET SHIP PURCHASES ON ANOTHER CHARACTER OF THE SAME ACCOUNT.
    - FLEET SHIPS REQUIRE BEING A MEMBER OF A FLEET WITH THE APPROPRIATE FACILITIES CONSTRUCTED.
    - FLEET SHIPS REQUIRE PURCHASING RIGHTS FROM THE FLEET YOU JOINED.
    - WE LEAVE FLEET PURCHASING RIGHTS HANDLING TO THE FLEET LEADERS.
    - FLEET SHIPS DO NOT COME WITH UNIQUE WEAPONS.
    - FLEET SHIPS DO NOT COME WITH BRIDGE OFFICERS.
    - FLEET SHIPS DO NOT COME WITH UNIQUE BRIDGE INTERIORS.
    - WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE NOR REQUIRED TO RESPOND TO CLAIMS OF FALSE ADVERTISEMENT DUE TO READING COMPREHENSION FAILURE.
    - ASSUME LISTED STATS ARE FINAL. IF IT'S NOT LISTED, IT LIKELY DOESN'T HAVE IT ON RELEASE.
    - ALL LISTED STATS AND EQUIPMENT ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE WITHOUT NOTICE, AND WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO MAKE ANY CHANGES BEFORE, DURING, AND AFTER RELEASE.

What else have I missed that's been endlessly argued as far as Fleet ships go?

    Word of advice.

If you're going to post and question someones intelligence or ability to compose or comprehend a sentence, then at least use proper grammar yourself. That sentence is a train wreck of poor grammar and punctuation.

All the OP did was ask a simple question, he didn't rant, he didn't carry on.. he just asked.

Is it really necessary to pile on him like this? The forums are here for people to ask questions, they shouldn't be attacked for it.

Oy! All these people, berating the OP for not reading, when they haven't actually read what the OP says.

I read what the OP posted just fine , and he should've been more observant of the simple facts if a fleet ship came with consoles and traits it would state so in the ship descriptions.

Obviously it wasn't a big deal to the the OP. He even said he's had the ship for a week and just noticed, so obviously it wasn't a major concern to him.

He noticed he didn't have the console, came here and asked a simple question. His question was met with an unreasonable amount of hostility.

Some of you people need to chill out, it's one thing if he started an angry rant and flew off the handle, but he didn't. You guys are just looking for a reason to attack.

The OP just asked a simple question for crying out loud. He/she did nothing wrong.
