Try to avoid social space zones as in ESD/DS9 orbit. Game never crashes for me when entering fleet or action maps. Sector space crashes as well but not that often.
By doing so I managed to reduce the crashes from every second map move down to every tenth or so. Still annoying but at least less so.
Best crash report I got was something like “required game data could not be loaded”. I concluded that the crashes depend on the numbers of players and/or number of instances a map you like to load currently has.
We have this going on for weeks now with no fix in sight.

For myself, I tend to find it relates to ground maps, and not just simple ground maps like ESD/DS9/Etc., but actual ground mission maps like Queues/Voth ground battlezone/Etc. that causes the crashes most often.
Otherwise, Space maps and character changes take wayyyyyyyyyyyy longer to ever bring on a possible crash for myself.
