Now it all makes sense (Spoilers)

When I played the mission Sunrise I got to asking why the Tox Uthat was even in the game since Picard destroyed it on Risa in the TNG TV series (Yes I know my Trek Lore). Now with the new episode I like how it all came together and answered my question. Good Job Cryptic! That was a neat way to wrap that up and tie in TNG and Enterprise in a neat little bow by having us bury the Tox Uthat on Risa and recover Kal's body.

On a side note: Are we gonna get his EV suit? Cause it looked awesome!

Yeah, it all wrapped up much more quickly than I thought it would, I figured we had another mission to go before this was wrapped up, but I suppose that wouldn't leave a lot of space for the winter event.

Because we totally want a reason to tie enterprise and TNG together

Like TNG was any good... lol

That idiot of a first officer knocking up every space hoe with somehing resembling a TRIBBLE!# not to mention stevie wonder the engineer and DDeanna troi the counselor.

The horrible writing completely wrecked TOS which gene Roddenberry nearly de-canonized so he could continue his idiotic utopia BS. It was like the Star Wars prequels.

The only part of the series worth a damn was Patrick Stewart and maybe Data. They even had their own version of Jar Jar Binks, Wesley Crusher.

Atleast Jar Jar only ruined one movie.

Are you kidding? TNG had the dream team: Geordi, Data, Worf, and O'Brien. All those other poozers were amateurs.

Scotty > Geordi, Data, Worf, and O'Brien all put together. (Well maybe with Spock > Data  )

Well, considering that this "Utopia BS" was the main premise of the series... you don't have to agree with it but that's just what Star Trek was founded upon. (And when we're talking about knocking up, Riker has nothing on the Kirk).

We will agree on Wesley Crusher, though (and so will his actor, Wil Wheaton).

Apart from that, my personal TOS-TNG comparison:

Kirk vs Picard: Kirk was great in his own way, but Picard is THE captain. Point for TNG

Spock vs Data: both great characters played by great actors. Still: Spock is Spock. Point TOS

Scotty vs LaForge: again, both great. LaForge wasn't developed enough. Another point TOS

McCoy vs Beverly Crusher: this actually is two points for TOS. I found Ma Crusher almost as annoying as her son. Mostly for protecting him.

Uhura vs Troi: different jobs on the show, similar position still. Both are bland-ish. Uhura was just a fig leaf if judged from today, though, point for TNG even though Troi rarely exceeded the status of Bridge Bunny.

Other characters: Chekov and Sulu were somewhat similar and not really distinctive, kind of bland often, Riker had some character but was in many ways an emaciated Kirk. A tie. No, not a tie, there was Wesley... point to TOS.

(Note that I am comparing the characters, not the actors. No disrespect meant at all to Ms Nichols, Ms McFadden and Mr Wheaton here)

Still, TNG had the better scripts and the better budget - while the latter may not be as important, it shows.

You've lost your mind if you think Picard was better than Kirk.

Kirk was annoying, it is interesting to see that TOS was going in a totally different direction from where TNG was written.

People s@$! All over JJ Abrams when the truth is he designed his reboot after TOS not the later series which were vastly different. Someone wrote a really good post about this a week or two ago.

Well, if you do want to make a Star Trek reboot, you'd better put Mr Spock in it if you don't want people to go "who is this guy?".

Even if you have never watched Star Trek, you know who Spock is (that always serious alien with the pointy ears and the weird salute) thanks to the various parodies and references, but you won't know who Data, Seven of Nine, Shran or Garak are.

Im pretty sure we all know who Seven of Nine is... XD

We might not know who Garak is, but his mom was probably the most awesome Cardassian in the show Deep Space Nine.

"He shall be my finest warrior, this generic man who was forced upon me.
Like a badass I shall make him look, and in the furnace of war I shall forge him.
he shall be of iron will and steely sinew.
In great armour I shall clad him and with the mightiest weapons he shall be armed.
He will be untouched by plague or disease; no sickness shall blight him.
He shall have such tactics, strategies and machines that no foe will best him in battle.
He is my answer to cryptic logic, he is the Defender of my Romulan Crew.
He is Tovan Khev... and he shall know no fear."

Garak's mother was never on DS9. You may be thinking of his mentor/father's servant.
