New Klingon Prey of Bird T6 with Intelligence seat

May I suggest a new Prey of Bird B'rel-class T6 with Intelligence seat since it was always called "scout ship" as used in espionage, skirmishes and raid even it can be interchangeable seats in tactical, Engineering, science mission. Of course some of us would like see K'Vort-class as light cruiser too.

Since they already made the B'rel derivitive a pilot it would probably make more sense to pick one of the other BoP classes to make into intel. The Norgh/Ning'to is quite popular as is the Hegh'ta. personally I'd like to see cryptic 'fill out' the intel lines on kdf and romulans, a cruiser style one for the green bloods and a bop for the KDF (I know raptor fits more with the phantom/feaht but BoP makes more sense for KDF) a scryer analogue wouldn't go astray for both either.

I read that and thought "keep dreaming". Filling out the intel stuff that the RR/KDF never got in the delta pack would be nice though.

An Intel science ship with enhanced battle cloak?

    I think not.

I'm realistic enough to admit filling out the intel roster is unlikely at best.
But 'Those that don't ask, never get.'

Hmm. An Intel BOP might be interesting, but it's not likely to happen so soon after another Bird of Prey. Especially since Intel's flavour also is stealth, it would also mean another Bird of Prey with Enhanced Battle Cloak. Might be a bit too repetitive.

That said... it would be nice if they filled out the missing Intel ships on the Romulan and KDF side. Maybe they could do it with a unique faction-specific flair... Intel Carrier instead of a Science Vessel (maybe with some new form of stealth-capable surveillance drone pet (and also being able to slot the BOP Frigate, which also have innate cloaking), and Intel BOP instead of Escort?

I see all your answers...good comments. Thank you, Good idea about Delta pack scout ships. I checked...I noticed Fed has three classes as two out three is science with one nacelle and Rom is shuttle type...that's tough choice.

How is the faeht a SCIENCE ship?!? Yeah you can stick a bit of sci on it...but to call it a science ship...BWHAHAHAHAHAHA.

How is a BoP a science ship them?

What is a Science ship according to Cryptic is having SA and SST, BoPs lack any ... having a Commander Universal doesnt make it a science ship otherwise the Adapted Battlecruiser and the Recluse would be Science ships, they arent.

Yes, your post is rather amusing indeed.

No matter what internal considerations Cryptic uses - a ship with Sensor Analysis and Secondary Deflector but no ability to slot a Commander Science ship will never be a Science Vessel.

The ability to have full access to a Commander Science Bridge Officers skils is the most important thing that determines if something can be a science vessel or not.

And in the beginning of Star Trek Online, that was pretty much all there was to Science Vessels. That, and subsystem targeting, which was never of any significant use to Science Vessels, and just an extra add-on that is usually left forgotten. That's why Bird of Preys could very well fill the role of Science Vessels, and they were even more dangerous, because they could battle cloak, had 4 front weapon slots (including the ability to use DHCs) and insane turn rates.

Hmm, the Oberth, Nova, RSV, and Phalanx are all waiting on you in the alley out back, and they don't look happy. ;) Levity aside, the sensor analysis (and since its introduction, the secondary deflector) are really what makes it a science vessel. Other non-science vessels can and do have a Cmdr SCI seat - it is not unique to science vessels.

A Science Vessel without a Commander Science slot will also never be considered a real science vessel.

T'Varo is closest there. It can have 5 sci powers, but not comm sci.
