A little bit more info would help us help you.
Off the top of my head, I'd suggest you try Verifying the Files before launching the game.

yep nothing I've even uninstalled software then reinstalled it to see if it was that
Have you checked to see if your Internet Provider is mucking around with you?
Maybe try a PING test?
What kind of video card do you have?

Internet troubles usually don't result in hard crashes...might be overheating or a software clash.... have you installed an actual Windows 10 driver for your video card ? I forgot that and it messed things up.
The Iconian War is over. You shouldn't be seeing that splash screen at all. Sounds to me like you're having hard drive issues more than anything else. Run a DSKCHK to see if it finds any errors.
That's why I take a hammer and put a serious smack-down on the "Free upgrade to Windows 10!" box that keeps popping up on my screen. My Win7 PC is running STO just fine. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.
All I can add to this is that my computer is getting a little Jurassic and when I tried to download Windows 10 it turned blue and went into convulsions.
Hoodie Doodie is from the obscure and unappreciated early work of Spike Lee, "Puppetz n the Hood".
What.. what on earth are you talking about??
Hoodie Doodie as others have mentioned is from a classic show that started up in the late 40's, notable for its extremely catchy tune. Here's the intro song, for reference

I am really tired, and not really in the mood for long explanations, but as already said: There is no Iconian war anymore.
Your game seems to have not properly patched.
Quick-fix - slow download solution is: Go into your STO folder, Find the .hogg files, Delete them, start the launcher again.
(Usually: %BasePath%\Star Trek Online\Live\piggs <<-- Kill all files in that folder)
It will basically kill your gamefiles, and download fresh versions.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Windows 10 does not support certain graphics cards. It did not support my ATI Radeon 43xx series. The game would crash on load similar to what the OP describes. The solution was to roll back the OS and find the best graphics display settings that would not crash the client until I upgraded the graphics card. I could then upgrade the OS and everything worked fine.

The last time I encountered this error, I had to reload the whole STO client since some of the files probably got corrupted, but who knows...
It's hoody doodie time!
This song's before your time!
