Drydock suggestion

So far I'm pleased with the Drydock feature. It's really useful, especially in the context of the Admiralty system. It essentially functions as a few extra ship slots without the "freebie" item storage.
Now here's a suggestion that would make Drydock one of the best features in the game.
Make a ship in Drydock Account-bound while it's in dry dock! Say I have a Lockbox ship on one of my captains, and I decide I would rather have it on another captain. Transfer the ship into Drydock, log onto the other captain, and remove the ship from Drydock. It lets me use my singular ships as I wish, without me being able to reclaim a singular ship a second time. It seems like a fair balance to me, that wouldn't pick too much out of the PWE pockets. And the new Drydock feature makes it possible, like an Account Bank for ships.

Similar to the re-box feature people ask for now and again. I'd be for either. They don't increase the # of ships in the game. They just change who drives them. I've always regretted my Eng opening the JHAS and then never really using it, while my Tac toons don't get to use it.

As for money... PWE could sell that feature in the C-store. Just not sure of the cost/benefit analysis vs just cranking out new lockboxes every other month.

Why would you open a ship on a character that is not going to use it? :P

I don't think it will ever happen though, Cryptic expects you to acquire (either by opening lockboxes yourself or getting it from someone who does) the item again. Being able to swap ships at will... would eat into their profits quite a bit!

Well maybe in the future they will offer to buy shared slots for some zen. We never know with PW ;)
But for free? No, will never happen.

Was my main toon, and did use it for a bit. But obviously my TAC would have gotten more use out of it. Plus it was the first lockbox 'winter gift box', so I wasn't really thinking along those terms. If I had to do over again, I'd have put the damn thing on the Exchange for 500M!

    ^ This guy gets it.

Besides, lockbox/lobi ships aside, there's plenty of "account-bound" ships already. C-store purchases and most event ships can be reclaimed on any eligible character on your account, old or new.

As nice as it would be to pass my Astika around to all my alts to get them the Supremacy trait, that's a lot of potential money down the tube.
