Just curious, why did they change the Mirror Ship texture? It went from what we saw on Enterprise to a more generic red coloring. Heck it just looks like a custom ship on a typical player ship now.
A normie goes "Oh, what's this?"
An otaku goes "UwU, what's this?"
A furry goes "OwO, what's this?"
A werewolf goes "Awoo, what's this?"
"It's nothing personal, I just don't feel like I've gotten to know a person until I've sniffed their crotch." "We said 'no' to Mr. Curiosity. We're not home. Curiosity is not welcome, it is not to be invited in. Curiosity...is bad. It gets you in trouble, it gets you killed, and more importantly...it makes you poor!"

The playable Mirror ships still have the yellow texture as a hull option. So if red is going to be the in-game look for the Terrans going forward, there are some across-the-board changes that need to be made.
Although you can replicate the Terran designs using a mashup of the available ship patterns, all coloured red.
I also prefer red to yellow. In addition, I prefer red on Klingon ships. Whoever thought it was a good idea to start painting yellow nacelles on charcoal hull colored ships should be shot by a disruptor set to disintegrate.

if was still the same paterrn I might be okay but again the ship nolonger looks terran.

I kinda have my own headcannon on why we still have the yellow markings for playable ships like the Sovy. Different sector fleets. While it would kinda be contradicted with the Mirror Invasion event, for the most part the only Terran ships we see are in the Alpha Quadrant, specifically in the area around Bajor.

That Mirror Guardian ship from the event yesterday has that red scheme on it as an material option, but there wasnt a yellow option i saw.
The yellow option only came with opening the lock box mirror ships, which the skins were only applied to the same hull as the ship in the box.
A number of the mirror ships were of unpopular or rarely seen ships...so you really don't see them around much and the only T6 ship that has a lock box mirror skin currently is the MVAE.

well not allowing the Mirror ships to be upgraded was a dumb move but still to change ESTABLISHED texture was really stupid.

Well I meant other than the Sovereign and the Prometheus, most of the mirror ships were lightly used ships...don't see a whole lot of Luna's, Cheyenne's, or Destiny's these days or even back then...they basically only offered mirror skins of free t5 ships.

There was the Mirror Nova too. And I think the KDF Mirror ships were more popular. The Mirror Vo'Quv is one of the tankiest ships in game, and the Mirror Qin was my baby for a while on my KDF. Didn't really have anything special about the Mirror BoP though. Still had all universal BOff slots.

Yeah I know, didn't name every ship...but you don't see many Nova either...would be nice to see a T6 Nova with Pilot specialization some day.

I liked that Prommie and the sovie, and wanted a Galaxy, and Galaxy with more tac BOFFs. the you're right the KDF mirrors were more populat thanks to the lack of KDF ships. Heck we don't see the Kvort in there. It would be nice if they got the Feklar from the Armada series. But not making them upgradable sucked.

The Fek'lhr class won't happen due to it belonging to another company, in this case Activision. The royalties to use her in STO would royally suck.
yeah that was an ugly skin, but the second skin was CANON.
True, and any Mirror ships that predate the Guardian still posess the canon yellow markings. And any related ship can still use the yellow markings if you unlocked a mirror ship. I still have the Mirror Yellow available on my Fleet T5U Assault Cruiser since I had opened a Mirror Star Cruiser.

True. The ISS prefix is only available to Mirror Fed ships.

I wonder why it doesnt... that seems like an oversight more than a deliberate act, considering it unlocks the skin (which I kind of wish they would update to red... or better yet add the red one and give us a choice...)

Would be nice. Also allow the AKS and ARW prefixes for compatable Klingon and Romulan ships as well if you opened a mirror ship.

I love that it unlocks the ship skin. The Mirror Romulan stuff is pretty epic, definitely my favourite of 'em all.

it is growing on me, though, and red IS after all an aggressive color, so a little more fitting for a dark mirror of the federation

But it kind of lost the unqiuesness of it then. Like i said it just looks like a players custom rather then an actual difference.
