Not announced, but it's SOP for Halloween and Friday the 13th
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Captain Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, it's all ancient history. Then - before you can blink an eye - suddenly it threatens to start all over again."
"With the first link, the chain is forged. The first speech censured, the first thought forbidden, the first freedom denied, chains us all irrevocably."
I cannot recall doing/completing this mission and it looks like I've had three opportunities to do so.
Sig? What sig? I don't see any sig.

What Lies Beneath is a better Halloween episode.
Its as close to actual Dungeon Crawling in STO that we have. Throw in some background Ghostbusters theme... and well... its just becomes fun.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

Now... say it with me...
BONNIE KIN!
Ghostbusters? Sure it you want to be silly about it. But I think there are a few themes from Doctor Who that would be better to retain the spooky/slasher/horror movie feel that this mission tries to impart.
and, yes, - BONNIE KINS! - did have me jump the first time I heard it. And I loved that the basic idea of a faulty, deadly hologram was pulled from STV ep. Revulsion and then put on steroids.

I think a replacement Halloween episode should be made, my plan is about a derelict vessel which is inhabited by Cosmozoans, but whether they are what happened to the ship depends on your responses, so would the ending.
With each passing day I wonder if I stepped into an alternate reality. The Cubs win the world series. Donald Trump is President. Britain leaves the EU. STO gets a dedicated PvP season. Engineers are "out of control" in STO.

"Critics who say that the optimistic utopia Star Trek depicted is now outmoded forget the cultural context that gave birth to it: Star Trek was not a manifestation of optimism when optimism was easy. Star Trek declared a hope for a future that nobody stuck in the present could believe in. For all our struggles today, we haven’t outgrown the need for stories like Star Trek. We need tales of optimism, of heroes, of courage and goodness now as much as we’ve ever needed them." -Thomas Marrone
Yeah I had to turn the lights on my first time through "What Lies Beneath"
Creeped me the F out.
@captz1pp
Would love to have a scary mission, exploring an abandoned Starbase, or derelict shuttle/starship.
Floating dead bodies in Zero G.
Event Horizon, meets Dead Space, meets STO.
Would be an amazing mission concept.
Trying to figure out what happed to the mysteriously missing/dead crew.
Only to uncover a horror of unfathomable proportions........

Am I the only one who thinks it's annoying and infuriating? Because no matter how I calibrate the gamma I still keep bumping into walls and missing turns... (Although I admit, Gein is genuinely scary, thanks to excellent work by writers and VAs.)

Sounds good, but which way would it go, the Devidians/the unseen Axanar drinkers from ENT/Servitors, a Cosmozoan nest that only found the wreck after the disaster, or worse, just a plain derelict.

we can do floating bodies. And we do have a few sets that look derelict/damaged.

There's always The Foundry.

Indeed. They seriously need to replace Hearts and Minds. It's very much a dud.
Now for a good example of Halloween adventures there's 'The Secret World'. They do it right, and add more every year to it.

My character Tsin'xing
Mine Trap with its Salt Vampires is FAR scarier ;-)
I am sure the dev who spend his spare time making this mission appreciates your lack of gratitude.
He should appreciate any feedback, negative as well as positive.
Well, given that he hasn't changed it, "improved" it or actually made it good in the first place...
