About to equip an alt and have a choice of beams:
Adv fleet whatever - cheap and solid
Herald beam - affordable now and the proc could be good, anyone have numbers
Withering - high upgrade cost vs ad flt?
Rainbow - don't lose much with spire console and adds flexibility
What I will not do: craft a 1000 beam to get some pen mods, upgrade to epic, pay fortune for anything.

For a "low" budget the fleet ap with like [Dmg]x3 [CrtD] is awesome. Get them up to mk14 (if you want) and you have all the dps you need.
As for the new rep, meh. Just seems like a second bio disruptor from the undine rep with a different color....
If you are interested in being different or still interested in running the other options:
Herald-is decent but in order to get the optimal crtdx4 or dmgx4 or combination of the above is very expensive.
Withering-Good only if you have high part gen. It allows x4 mods in exchange for losing debuff unlike Bio which allows only
x3 additional mods with debuff. Radiation dmg on hit rather than incubated like Bio so you don't have a wasted
proc/dps if your Antiproton FAW Scimitar buddy keeps killing things before the incubation goes off. Honestly it's not
worth it unless you run high prtg and a very specific console combination to boost radiation dmg and combined with
Dilithium cost becomes the most expensive option you listed to be comparable unless you are a sci build.
Rainbow-Only really seen an effective rainbow boat using various Disruptors. The guy cared more about crtd mods than special
procs so it was several diff disruptors but they all had Crtdx3 or x4 mods (no pen at that time).
To be honest the proc is not as important as the mods on the weapons in most cases so just go with the colour you like or whatever you can afford.
Alltho are the DBB's realy better then standard DBB aps? i mean say MKXIV [crtd]x2 [crth] compared to normal AP DBBS?
cous i have seen that heralds have 20 less crtd to begin with... any thought on that?
