Automated personnel units

I want to build a mission based on the automated personnel units from Delta rising but I am not sure what kind of enemy mobs I should resskin to use as apps? I also have not played far enough in de
Ta rising to know what the story is for these guys. Are they able to reproduce now?

    They appear in one of the patrols fighting over core units. Best guess ... they know how to build more of their kind now... or they know they need cores for more units.

    They don't have any special abilities in space.. so.. Rouge Federation? ( I think they use Phaser. I know the lockbox versin comes with Tetryons)

    Ground ... depending on what flavor you want them to fire?

    I'd go Hirogen for both (APU's in DR use Tetryon and the base tetryon rifle is very generic looking.)

    That said, if I was going to make this a two way fight I'd use Hirogen for Silver and Cardassians for gold (color code, make it more apparent to the player which they're fighting.)

    Do you think the robots were built by the same race? Maybe "Cravic" and "Pralor" are two nations on the same planet.

    Be careful if using Hirogen. I think the captain level mobs spawn Hirogen holograms.

    I've had trouble in the past with Hirogen spawning hologram combatants. Is it possible to have two enemy groups fight each other?

    I think all you need to do is plonk them down next to each other. For a custom species I was hoping to use cmdr and lower level hirogen and fek'lhr ensigns for a melee unit. The "officers" just shot their peons and the back, so I ended up just using reskinned hirogen. I can't testify that all enemy factions will fight all other enemy factions (because I haven't gone further than my failed mixed unit experiment) but I suspect they do. So for opposing APU's you could try lower level Hirogen (silver) and lower level Cardassian (gold) and the war should start right up.

    yeah just don't use captains or BOTH sides will spawn holograms.

    I will have to keep that madness in mind though if I ever do a sequel to the VOY episode with the clowns in it. :P
