Hi,
I just do not seem to be able to get my Fed Tac toon above ~35K DPS mark, when my Sci performs about ~27K and my Eng performs at ~53K.
So right now my Engineer performs the best; on him I run what I call and Eeeps Deeps Arbiter build. So it's all about ramping up the power levels for the increased damage (OSS III & I, EPtW III and EPtS I etc with standard Antiproton build etc)
Yet my Tactical I cannot get increased; the most I ever got out of him was ~54K in a T5U Escort Carrier about 3 months ago...
I think I may just stick with my Engineer as I prefer Cruisers / Larger ships (more canon :-) ) and I know to help I should really post my build, but was just looking for some Fed Tac builds in any Fed ship along with any tips that I may not have thought of that could bump up my Deeps.
Cheers

I really think what becomes dominant on tac DPS is the “good piloting” topic which simply needs practice and a lot of try and error with your selected setup and which often interacts heavily with your team.
Do you use your “go down fighting” skill often on your tacs? If you do, do you like to play at low health? Also, with AP Alpha tac DPS seems to hint a bit more towards damage spikes in the right moments rather than any form of sustainable long term DPS. I also found in the 30k+ reach the team interaction to become more and more dominant. “Good piloting” in this case also often means dissocial play from a pug perspective when your team cleans the trash for you while you go ahead hunting for the most lucrative targets on the best spots. I always love it when I see 4 peeps in ISA standing by left side regenerator already while stupid me erases the one forgotten sphere at start point. I usually can forget about new DPS records then.
