Assembling A Crew.

Imagine you are writing a story.

The war against Dominion forces is losing ground faster than your forces can assemble defences. At this point, your focus has turned to fortifying and defending, rather than trying to take back. A Ferasan electronics warfare ship patrolling the Gamma Quadrant border has just intercepted a coded Dominion message. They are preparing a massive Jem'Hadar force to invade a major world. If this world falls, the war is over.

To prevent this, you must assemble a team of specialists to take out the Dominion leaders. It is a desperate move, but they are your last hope.

* A certified sniper and weapons expert is busy on the Romulan front.

* A doctor who specializes in Jem'Hadar physiology is going about his daily life at Starfleet Medical.

* A Jem'Hadar who defected to your side during the previous war is now in training on Qo'noS.

* A shady pilot who may have connections with Section 31 is testing a battleship captured from the Mirror Universe.

So you must now figure out how to contact them, and bring them together. I know the classic Star Trek method is simply having an Admiral call them, and say, "Hey! Go here!" But that does not make for a good story.

So, my question for you is how you would go about this. If you were an Admiral in this position, how would you go about assembling this team? And then, how would you manage to insert them so far behind enemy lines?

Give them each their own movie, and then show up after the credits and recruit them, Nick Fury-style. :P

As I read the OP, all sorts of things began running through my head. Among these was the Mission Impossible theme. The good one. From the TV series.

The first thing I'd do is contact Tom Paris. From the Iconian War FEs and some clues placed in the Dev Blogs, it is obvious he has a knack for keeping track of all the oddballs and misfits every very large organizatuon seems to have within it. So, he'd be a good choice for guidance and assistance in assembling such a team.

This is as far as I've gotten right now at 01:18 AM on a Saturday. Can't sleep so while I am awake this will be running in the background in my mind. Thanks OP. All I can say at this point is - it is getting a little crowded in here, lol.
