Correction: The Children of Khan series is actually by author futuremurphy (who I believe is the same person as AdmiralMurphy but a different account).

    Re: Rebecca Simmons
Listening to the show tonight it occurred to me that if Cryptic wanted to, they could use the events of "Butterfly" to retcon any manner of minor stuff out of the storyline, as could any Foundry author. For example, for all we know, one effect of the aborted temporal incursion is that Rebecca Simmons was never assimilated and is still in Starfleet - and now we have a Simmons costume to support such a premise.

(On a side note, I have a sneaking suspicion that something else that resulted from that aborted incursion, which we don't know about yet, is what ends up turning the tide in favor of the Alliance and setting the stage for Season 11. Maybe the newly unassimilated Simmons even figures into that!)

To follow up on one of my comments in the show, I did play that mission last night and can confirm that P_Sutherland did indeed use my Admiral Zashek character.

FYI: I didn't have a chance to portray him the way I intended to.

If you want anything changed... feel free to spam me.

Initially he was going to have a side plot with that bunker in "NEw Rateg" but then I hit the prop limit... and well... didn't know where to go from there on.

Glad I could contribute something to the community (regarding copying objects between maps) and thanks for the shout.

Funny you guys should talk about the demon planet volume. My recent KDF Ico mission has a demon planet map with the death volume and npc contacts and mobs of animals. It did involve some vanishing and reappearing of volumes. Usually you talk about a technique idea right before i publish exactly that thing, so glad i finally managed to get a step ahead for once!
also the m113 ensigns make good old men. Used one in an unpublished mission. They amble up to you and slap you. I do have a list somewhere of all the mobs and their melee/ supernatural abilities for spooky missions and reskinning.

My "Trouble In Paradise" mission, which has been out for about a month now, includes a similar trick.
During the escape from Drake's lab, when the player retracts the underwater forcefield tunnel, I drop a space volume where the tunnel had been, so that anyone still in the tunnel when it's retracted drowns (and the player can watch them drown). This is also why I use Elachi instead of Heralds in this map; I've found that Heralds can survive minor impediments like space volumes.
