TOS Klingon Look

I wanted to see what the community thinks of adding TOS Klingons to the game. If not as a separate species option then as a form of a smooth-head option and full TOS set of unis (we currently have male but not female uniforms) as an addition to normal klingon speices.

Given how little customization Klingons get - all for it.
As a side note, with the humanoid (TOS) style Klingons, it'd be easy to unlock all the hairstyles for them too, without needed work to re-do anything. IJS.

I know that it always annoys me that the closest I can get to a TOS Klingon is 'Ridges - Thin' and 'High Forehead Long', I'm in full agreement that we need access to no ridges and short hair for Klingons for a better TOS-based experience.

Should definitely be an option for Klingons. Not a separate secies, just add the options to the Klingon race menu. Every species should be able to choose from TOS or TNG looks (Gorn as well as Orions, Tellarites, Andorians etc.). TOS Klingons are not a different species and don't buy into the augment nonsense of Enterprise - TOS had different costumes. When the TNG Klingons came along, Rodenberry stated "They always looked like this" - they just couldn't afford the make-up. As a homage, like DS9 did so in an excellent episode, STO should offer the options, definitely. But please without any "explanation" whatsoever. We're not idiots. ​​

Actually the augment nonsense of Enterprise is pretty much canon for the game - City on the Edge of Never/Past Imperfect missions with Miral Paris covers this.

I don't have a problem with adding TOS style klingons for those who want to play them but I think they should be either a c-store purchase or duty officer/mission chain unlock to keep it relatively exclusive at least for a while. But saying that the game has enough immersion breaking elements I guess that no longer matters any more. ​​

The reasoning behind the different look aside, I can see how. As with aliens there is a dropdown option for head shape, simple give Klingons access to 'ridged' and 'humanoid'. Give the humanoid head a forehead option for 'smooth' or 'bony ridges thin' (an option available for male aliens and female Klingons, but not male Klingons for some reason).

Not just TOS looks.
Trill have a ridged or spotted version, Saurians need a TMP style head (you know, the only canon appearance of them), Bajorans could have the little nose ridge from TNG as well. Non-ENT styled Andorians (i.e. without the ridges) and an option for the very thin and tall TNG style antenna. Nausicaans need their canon styles (currently they look like a mix of the TNG and ENT versions, but not enough like either. (thoughu, personally, I think it'd be interesting for the ENT styled ones to be the females, a change from sticking b.rests on). ​​

While I'm not much of a Klingon player myself, I say absolutely! More options for players is always welcome, especially for those who want those options.

Yesterday I saw someone with TOS-like attempt at the Klinks on Kobali Prime. A very nice look, considering the limitations.​​

I was actually thinking of a KDF C-Store bundle - smooth head and a full female TOS uniform option. Though adding Gorn or Orion TOS options would be really nice ideas as well.
